I think it was just a tangent that went of. I think most people can agree that Isildur is one the few that drives people to watch high stakes.

Sure it can be overwhelming at times, but people love to see him shoot up and degen it away. Maybe he does need his own containment thread, but whenever there is high stakes action, and Isildur is playing, there will be tangents for sure. No way around it.

Nothing wrong with Isildur discussions, as it's pretty much inevitable in a high stakes thread(unless you want a thread with 5 posts/day). There are just too many AIDS posters making ******ed posts all the time. It's the same thing when some troll calls Galfond a bumhunter(or whatever subject they tend to bring up) and the same awful debate ensues every time.

Nothing against Jamie, but it sometimes seems like we need a mod that visits the thread more often.

FWIW, I only delete obvious trolling, offensive or derogatory posts. I can't arbitrarily delete posts that I deem silly. I do agree that a Isildur was useful. I have no problem "stepping down" or modding this heavier. Also, this thread very rarely gets posts reported which is what triggers us to delete things.

All this so called ´banter´ is more or less the same discussion that flares up every now and then.

I wonder how thin ike has to vbet here to stay at least somewhat balanced. every oesd, most gutters is a lot of hands to bluff with.

He probably isn't bluffing with all those hands. A lot of game theory guys will bluff with the worst hands they would ever have in that spot(like 64o) but not all other air.

So what's the current score on these heads-up matches if anyone is keeping track?

I understand that some are sick of the Isildur discussion, I do but it usually takes place on downtime when there isn't much action taking place. Imo it's better to have some 'banter' than just a void when there's no action but mb that's just me.

Hows it trolling just giving your view on Isildur? Its a fact that hes terrible. Just because someones opinion is different than yours doesnt mean its a troll. Its a highstakes thread to discuss highstakes with different views and nothing should be shut out.
IF Isildur was not a fish::
-every game wouldnt only run around him
-he wouldnt be stuck so much
-he'd actualy beat good worldclass players and not just bums
-he'd be able to hold onto a bankroll

this guys far from a pro and his only success is just a case of running good, he literally just is so aggro that over time, if things fall his way he'll win. Doubt hes still into poker in 2 yrs.
