Some revealing back and forth between Adnan and one of his former partners discussing one of the players with a large balance that they ended up booting from the club without paying him, like myself:

Fact is he made the decision to keep playing out of greed and it backfired on the rest of his balance. I never said that it is his fault, just that it's hard to have sympathy for these people. There is no "blaming", stop interpreting things the way you like them to be. Sucker.

Re: NYPokerKing's online poker room appears insolvent and wont pay players.

One thing bothers me though. I mean, I know that we are all kind of hidden behind our screens and feeling like some virtual post-modern heroes when it comes to outting a scammer. However, it really amazes me how this NYPKing of Douche-Nation is able to keep on keeping on scamming people irl. I also guess that in the USA confronting someone and even threatening a known scammer w/ physical consequences can back fire up to getting some jail time. Even in Switzerland threatening sb can lead to prosecution so I can only imagine what is up in that field regarding the Land of the Free that is Amurica. Never the less, how come that massive douchebag had never been punched in the face by one of the many he scammed? I saw his latest IG stories and couldn't believe how he inverted accusations. The victim becomes the pepetrator to the eyes of his numb public (can't blame it though as they are random followers and no 2+2ers). To me the way he brags abt the fact that nobody will ever come to him to say smthg irl in his IG stories is the worst. He looks certain abt that... So what? If I understood correctly, no legal action can be taken against him regarding his role in that Ponzi scheme yet. If nobody punches him in the face, old school style (I read itt that he gets along Gorillas to intimidate some audacious enough to tell him smthg), if no legal action can be taken, what can we do? Knowing that the extreme vast majority of his audience won't come here to read this thread, what can we do beside "only protecting the 2+2 community"?

Oh my bad, I thought that because he was not the one running the top operations he could not be sued as a top dog criminal. Btw, what is the legal status of these undergound apps? They are supposed to be playmoney right? How come the authorities aren't taking legal actions against it?

I have a suspicion nobody ever files charges against them. Scamming poker players really is like taking candy from a baby. There are never any repercussions, through legal or illegal channels. Maybe it would change if there were more hashtagkings.

It varies by state as each state has their own gaming laws.

Almost all states have similar language regarding profiting from or facilitating a regulated "game" for money.

"game" has slightly different definitions in each state, but poker would be "game" in all state regs I have any knowledge of.

Authorities have not pursued for the same reason they haven't pursued the clearly illegal cash games that have been running in Houston for years, for example.

One Club based in OH (cant rem the name) shut themselves down six month or so because club owners decided they either had to move out of country or shut down site, as they understood they were breaking the law.

edit. just for fun I pulled up NY law. here is one of their key definitions

Quote:
20. "Gaming" or "gambling". The dealing, operating, carrying on,
conducting, maintaining or exposing for pay of any game.

Re: NYPokerKing's online poker room appears insolvent and wont pay players.

If operator puts chips in play, funds should be backing them up. As rake is pulled, those funds can be pulled from the player pool. That's the only way it should be. Zero regulation and putting player fund pool in the wrong hands is bad news.

Re: NYPokerKing's online poker room appears insolvent and wont pay players.

WOW... if those texts/chat log are completely legit then NYPK should be dropped by the poker community. He’s getting called out by another admin for not paying. He shows there he has no care in the world whether to pay this guy that has a big balance out. He should be done.

Then he repeatedly says “without me there is no club” not even realizing that no... “without players there is no club”...

WOW

WOW

WOW

Re: NYPokerKing's online poker room appears insolvent and wont pay players.

FYI— he just posted new stories on IG showing you guys colluding. It’s hadd to see and understand but we just need to “trust him” and all players scammed with still get their money back.

Doesn’t look for you guys with the $40K & $20K balance.... you might need an attorney to get involved but I’m not sure they could help or not. Probably not l.

Based on the messages just posted it sounds to me like NYPK financially backs PokerClubAg...

No need to demean me... I donít know the laws and regulations regarding gaming such as this... and I thought I made it clear that I highly questioned anything an attorney could do. I figured there was absolutely no chance an attorney could help but you never know.

What I mean by dropped from the poker community is to basically stop giving this clown a platform. He has almost 50K IG followers and he posts his day by day life on there and tons of people support him. I think heís done enough at this point to warrant blacklisting him in any way possible.

What am I saying thatís wrong?

I am very interested to see if he decides to completely fabricate something (which I can just post my hand histories to refute) or draw crazily stretched conclusions from something else. The screenshot he showed was the other playersí daily balances from December, during which I hardly played any hands.

Thing is underground games are often built around guys that play on credit. I think having a hard rule on this could be a bit foolish.

Re: NYPokerKing's online poker room appears insolvent and wont pay players.

An attorney can't help them at their money back for this illegal gambling debt

But NYPK could get thrown in jail for running an illegal book/poker site

And if he was sending money across state lines which he almost certainly was he could really be in deep ****

To top it off he's literally making the prosecutor's case for them on Instagram

I'd also be curious if he's paying taxes on his so called winnings that he loves posting on ig

Right so even an honest person can get in over their heads running a poker site like this if they don't have a lot of financial backing

Now throw in the fact that NYPK is a scumbag piece of human bile and this is where we are

You haven't done anything wrong and this would be the law abiding recourse. Unfortunately these scammers know you often don't have a legal recourse, so they feel untouchable. People are going to have to learn to speak their language (#) or accept they are being pussywhipped for the rest of their illegal poker game career.

Outing them, warning people, it does nothing.

Gotta disagree with this.

Your collective contributions to this thread have consisted of "people are stupid, they should know better" and "how does anyone fall for this stuff."

Outing scammers and warning people remains one of the few actions someone can take because – as you said –*they often don't have much legal recourse. So with few other readily available options, outing scammers and warning people is precisely how people can a) know better and b) not fall for this stuff.

You're assuming there's one unified community that we can reach out to and automatically make him blacklisted. Unfortunately, there isn't. That doesn't mean people shouldn't spread the word wherever they can, of course.

I just offered a second option. For people that don't like to get their hands dirty (although I think guys like these crumble before you need to do anything) yes, warn people, sure.

By the way this situation has a lot of similarities with bullying. As long as the teachers don't really want to or can do anything the only way bullying stops is if the victim actually fights back. The victim might tell people he is getting bullied, who then care less and go on with their lives. Bullies attack weakness and in this case the poker players are the weakness. It's just so easy that when you don't have any ethics why wouldn't you do it. In the real world the bullying stops when the victim punches someone in the face.

Not saying you should beat the light out of scammers (not saying you shouldn't either) but they just laugh when someone posts on 2+2 or when someone asks his money in a normal way. NYpokerturd scammed a guy for $200 and gave it away on IG for crying out loud. He humiliated him. These people don't gaf about being outed as long as poker players are greedy and willing to take a chance. If someone takes a stand against him I have no doubt he caves in like the pathetic loser he is.

Funny how people are willing to play in illegal games for tons of money but then not willing to do what is necessary.
