TLDR: NYPK's poker room not paying players. One player owed $40,000+, another owed ~$20,000. Communication now stalled/cut off. Signs of insolvency and player funds not segregated.

I had previously warned of red flags surrounding the unregulated online poker room that Adnan "New York Poker King" was promoting, and at that time operating. Someone posted it in NVG here. Since then I've had a few ppl msg me that they were owed money, usually from 500-2000, which i passed along to Adnan, and seemed to get taken care of. That said, red flags still abounded.

Recently, I've had two individuals who will remain anonymous, message me on Instagram telling me they were owed large balances, and are now being slow payed, or straight up stiffed. Adam we will call him, is owed $40,000+ and being told that he must continue playing on their site to continue to receive payments. They will not let him simply withdraw his balance, and even when he does play, he is winning faster than they can pay him, so his owed balance keeps growing. I will attach screen shots below.

The second player, we will call him Scott, is owed around $20,000 and has decided to stop playing and has asked to cash out. His requests are ignored, the same as Adam. Eventually they just straight up kicked him out of the club and stopped all communication.

I had contacted Adnan, like i had previously, to see if i could have some kind of influence in getting them paid. Adnan said he would contact me, then didnt, and has now stopped responding to DM's and text's. He has also repeatedly ignored and blown off Adam, as well as the poker room "supervisors" repeatedly ignoring Scott.

I will post chat logs that speak for themselves. If either of these players, or others, wants to reveal themselves they may. I suspect there are a lot of players owed money, or soon will be.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer type giving advice, nor am I accusing anyone of a crime. I have asked for no proof from either party other than chat logs. I am presenting information i have so that the poker community is informed. Make your own conclusions and decisions on the matter.

No chance I can read thru the mountain of text. messages. Im sure what you say is true

But anyone playing on one these agent centered poker apps has got to expect to get screwed at some point.

They are all pretty shady, run by some dude(s), vs an actual online gaming company.

Is this with that PPPoker app? People actually deposited large sums of money for that? You're literally just sending it to some guy and hoping that the whole thing is legit. SMH

It always amazes me how these people in the poker community can get away with scamming without getting killed or at least broken knee caps. At what point do people draw a line?

a guy in Houston scammed a bunch of players on one of these apps too. Stay away, far away from playing on these would be my advice. This Adnon seems like a real piece of work.

I mean the second result when you google his name is the 2+2 scam topic. How does anyone trust him with a penny?

Which club/Union are u referring to? I used to play in the “largest” union in pp and was headlined by a group out of Houston. Curious to who you are referring to...

Actually sounds like you pay someone else? So if someone sends you money via PayPal as part of your withdrawal, their account gets credited. If the payments are sent by "friends and family " by PayPal and you get a lot that will throw up flags with PayPal. I dont even want to get into what happens when someone disputes one of those transactions.

The whole thing sounds like bad news bears.

Why not just regulate online poker??

I think a chunk of the money in and out of these agent based apps is cash.

Lots of money in. Not so much money ever comes out.

Gotta say that giving away the $200 he scammed as a "donation from a follower" was pretty badass. Must be depressing to be on the receiving end of that burn.

Played with this dude one time. Everything about him screamed scammer. Then I saw his insta. LOL.

I also remember some female LA grinder trying to get me to play in his online club one time. Just did a search and here you go

Hi, this is Adam.

I played on NYPK's site about a year ago, turned a $300 bitcoin deposit (i had some to spare at the time) into about $1700. It took a few weeks get paid, but I got paid.

I didn't play for about 10 months for various reasons, but found some time in October 2018, and figured I'd try to do it again.

I ran well to start, and the 1/2 and 2/4 games (PLO) were phenomenal action. The games on the site play up to 500bb buy in, and it seemed people were treating 1000bb stacks like play chips.

I never intended to give myself a 43k liability to this site, but I ran up an $800 deposit to a LOT in October. Between October and November, they paid me out around 18-20k. I made another ~25k between November and the first week of December, while playing slightly smaller volume. They kept paying small amounts, but not enough to keep up with my play.

When my play slowed down and eventually stopped in December, they stopped paying completely. When i asked for expectations, they just kept saying I would get paid even if I don't play, but I should keep playing to get prioritized.

It's been a month since I've received any payments.

Now NYPK wants to say I have been cheating somehow. Really, if he doesn't want to pay me, that's his only out. He's asking his followers and fans for info on my play, and people are chiming in saying my play seemed sketchy. I recognize some of these people as fish I played with on the site. Of course I didn't cheat, or collude. I did bumhunt like a mf, because the whales were the whaliest. And they were plentiful.

Anyway, I'd do it over again because I still made a chunk of change. But the $43,511 belongs to me, and I guess NYPK is just going to use it to pay for his Bentley's new rims. I'm sure Adnan 'NYPK' will do it to the next guy that runs up a balance. Or, he could just pay what he owes and try to save his rep a little bit, or try to clear this up as a misunderstanding.

wow what he's doing on his instagram page is really messed up. I played on that site in March and quit as soon as I saw the way they paid players out. It took them about 30 different Venmo payments to pay me $3000. Definite Ponzi. I dm him about it. The guy blocked me and then unblocked me later on, real POS

These games are raked, right? Seems like you could make plenty by just running a legit poker group. You're paying $0 for the software and customer service is just one guy answering and sending text messages or emails. I guess greedy people are gonna be greedy. It's full tilt poker all over again.
