I noticed that sportsnet in Ontario started airing episodes of PAD at 2am and was just wondering with the acquisition of full tilt by stars if there are any plans in the works to revive it?
"...New York architect David Hotson used his client's doctoral dissertation as inspiration for this 7,000-square-foot penthouse apartment in lower Manhattan. The space combines mathematical complexity with childlike playfulness. Here, a floral-covered crow's-nest-cum-conversation pit, accessible by glass footbridge, is suspended above the living room. .."
I always thought his name was Buckler, but it could have been Butler. Anyway, he was a very successful high limit stud player at the Mirage who seems to have just disappeared.
I do have one interesting BB story.
We were playing 75-150 stud at the Mirage one day and Bobby got in the game and started to tell the following story.
A week or so before he had come into the Mirage to play and found a 75 stud game going with several open seats. He sat down in one, bought in, and was getting ready to play when he felt a tap, tap, tap on his shoulder. The game next to his was a 5-10 stud game, and one of the players from that game was tapping him on the shoulder.
He'd never seen this guy before in his life, and the guy just looked at him and said,
"I'm watching this game."
Bobby just laughed and ignored him and then the guy tapped him on the shoulder again.
"I'm watching this game."
He was more humored than anything and kind of explained to the guy that he was actually playing in the game and that he thought he had the right to actually sit where he wanted to sit if he was going to play.
Tap, tap tap.
"I'm watching this game."
Well, the situation got resolved somehow, and before too long the guy quits the 5-10 game and comes over and plays in the 75 game and proceeds to lose 30 thousand dollars!
"It was the damnedest thing I ever saw in my life," Bobby said.
