I am 23 years old, only 2 years legally playing in casinos. I noticed this talk about majority of poker players feel they are not gambling when it comes to playing poker. They look down on other casino gamblers, by most.

I am not saying everyone, but it seems there is this attitude, i am smarter than that table player over there. I feel just the fact we have small blind and big blind and antes, Some money is bet without having a choice, not in all cases being that a lot of tournaments don't have antes. I say you cant say poker is not a gamble because it really is, whether you want to admit it or not.

I am not a casino table game gambler anymore, I feel its easier to make money gambling with other people and not against the dealer. I just dont think its accurate when people say poker is not a gamble at all. I feel they are in denial

#1. In general, few poker players "look down upon" table games players so this is incorrect. We've all played at least 1 table game at one point or another. When any of us first got into poker, we were gambling to begin with.

#2. Your point about paying blinds and antes in order to call it gambling is irrelevant. Yes we wager money, just as a day trader or investor might, and assume some risk in the endeavor. However, in the grand scheme of things, assuming the odds are profitable, and the risk to reward ratio is reasonable, a return will be earned. Hence this whole post is pointless.

Is this the right place for the thread to go?, u guys have so many subforums and specific places to make posts or threads on here that it is confusing.U guys have more rules than the marine corps on here.. pretty comical videos of an old tiltbox playing heads up sng on stars is the reaction most people have when they watched but i guess for the players who are quite similar to crapshoot relevant to their own playing style would not find the videos comical. Most players who are winning poker players would see the humor in them though, so i guess it depends which side of the boat u fall under. I myself like to be the chess player not the chess piece.
