"Verify" doesn't mean anything in this case though. I could get anyone to set up an account, transfer lots of money into it then just use theirs. I would imagine the rules are regularly circumvented in this way.

HS players don't all have to be well known names for Stars to allow them.

It could be an uncle, aunt, brother, sister, cousin etc.

Unless of course Stars carries out developed vetting on HS players...

It probably happens in many cases. And I'm pretty sure Dwan played online poker since BF. He probably visited Galfond at his place and played from his account. Or maybe someone elses. Nobody would ever know that. Well, it's really just a guess.
