is the ring worth anything in $$ or is it just for sentimental purposes?

****, can't be worth that much, they only made $6760 off this thing in rake.

Since when do "Circuit" events have less than 200 runners?

Most WSOP Circuit events draw under 200 these days, especially if it's their 5k Main Event. Yesterday's Rincon event drew a field of 70.

The main reason I came to st. Louis was because dwyte went to borgata.

seems shady if what the dealer said was true. chopping money and even including who gets the ring seems fine, but they ought to still play (without chip dumping) to determine "official" winner.
why?

Most of those have pretty good pay outs also. Esp for the average 1/2-2/5 players out there.

this, even though it doesnt exactly make friends of your fellow tablemates for doing it. I would just sit there silently staring until he mucks or shows, which the dealer should handle for you.

I played in this tourney, but donked out halfway through because I suck. On the flip side, Dwyte does it again. No, it's not a win, but 2nd shows his consistency. Is he on a hot streak or just very talented? Dude is the man!

I was wondering about him. I mean, there had already been two hold'em events and he hadn't even cashed yet. Sheesh.

At the time i had no idea who he was but he had 2 circuit rings on and just acted like a clown.

basically he cbet a flop, got called ,ch/ch turn, dude leads into him on river and he calls w/ midpair (maybe like QTo) but wouldn't show his hand.

The bettor is like, "i've got nothing, you win" and pilgrim insists on seeing his hand

so i piped in, "dude, he's got a missed draw with no highcard, you win, you caught a bluff, what is there to see?"

i'm paraphrasing what his response was to me, but it was this douchey, i swear.

"i want to see his hand cause i can learn something from every hand. I'M IN THIS GAME FOR LIFE DOG AND IT ALL ADDS UP"

he definitely referred to me as dog and eventually got the floor to table the dude's j8 airball high.

%#$^$#^$@#^$#^ Run better.
But wouldn't the bettor have to show his hand or muck before Pilgrim tables his hand? He coulda mucked rather than be forced to show what he said was his own losing hand. Acting in turn, I usually ignore what I hear and wait for player to let his cards speak. Too many angles have been shot at me (and missed). If my hand is stronger or close to the nuts, often in your example I will turn my hand over first if a guy says he doesn't have it or that I''m good. Usually if he really wants to fold I'll help him along by showing first, but then other times I really want to see what a guy has to gain information for later use. In that spot I hate when other player shows first (out of turn) and the hand I really needed to see mucks leaving me with incomplete info. Your example reads like they played a tough pot and those are often the ones where u need to see the other guys hand.

Garbage...saw him raise call 50 pct of his stack pre with qjcc and stack off on XcXcx flop and berate the guy when he missed. "Who taught these kids how to play poker?" He got one of his buddies to get a cardplayer and show me his name in a weak attempt to intimidate/impress me. He also tried to shoot an angle on a kid at my table. He raised, kid repopped from the blinds...Dwyte says, "Ok, how about I fold this hand, but we bet $100 on the side it's better than yours" Kid insta accepts and he Dwyte shows and ace and says, "I didn't even fold yet, but I will now" Fwiw, kid flashed his hand and I saw q4dd, sick relevel IMO.
