Would love to watch with English subtitles. Used to play tons of triple draw with both guys and obv they are world class. But I didn't realize seb coached Alex, I always thought Alex was the stronger one. Or maybe I just ran better vs seb

They said in the documentary that although seb taught Alex the games ( 2to7 / omaha 8 etc), Alex is currently the only one playing nosebleeds as Seb retired from the highest games ( still playing high stakes mixed games on a daily basis tho).

Seb said that one of the reason he quit nosebleeds was the rise of german guys at these games and that he played bad or ran bad against them.

Also, at one point Alex braggs about Ivey saying during one of the WSOP events that [Alex] was the guy he couldnt win a hand against this year

edit : such a good documentary btw.

Hi, I made that documentary about Alex and Seb. I am working on an english version but as you can see, I am not so bad at english. Thanks for the compliments and I will try my best to translate that quickly. Victor

perhaps you can get somebody fluent in both french and english to help you? it would be very disappointing if the translation is subpar and it could potentially ruin the viewing experience for a very large portion of your audience.

i'm very much looking forward to watching it!

Awesome job Tapis!
Really enjoyed it and even tough I have never played a hand of 2-7, it's interesting to have a peek of the lives of those nosebleed players.

If you need any help for the translation for this film or your other ones (as I think they might also interest English speaking poker fans), I would be glad to help.

Thank you Victor

to a non high stakes person, you have to understand that if you have no money, you want the millions. But to the people who already own millions and millions of dollars, extra cash isn't worth it. If a guy is grinding 1/2 online , i am sure money is prioritiy. If you are the likes of phil galfond and daniel negreanu, bracelets and trophies is what the end boss is.

but it's not like its grand slam trophy, it does not determine best player. it means as a whole nothing other than what you happen to participate in this meaningless event and by chance won it.

Thats your point of view.

I mean, is it so hard to understand they would rather a gold bracelet as memorobilia of their poker career than a paper graph?

Its like telling Jordan to not care about his rings cause he had the stats to prove he was the best...

It's cool how people that speak French keep talking about the film in a smug way; that's my favourite aspect of all the replies to this thread.

When he talks about memory for a lifetime you gotta understand that a big payday or a big losing day on his usual stakes, even if its for hundreds of thousands doesn´t stand out after a while. momentarily obviously but that one time you went deep in a live tourney , having friends there to cheer you on, a huge party afterwards etcetc all that around will burn your memories solid and thus a very positive memory later in life whilst that odd session you binked more than usual will not be very vivid... that last hand in the tournament though, adrealine and the feeling when you knew. knew that you won.
