but doesnt this guy have a pretty solid rep for playing somewhat nitty? I thought that these high limit macau games were real action games that were semi-invite only, in that certain action players were invited (i.e. durrr, ivey, etc..) while more solid players were not so welcome (i.e. Galfond's convo with garfield where he was asking him if he'd be welcome because he had heard otherwise).

2 million seems like a huge swing for someone who i thought didnt have a style conducive to 2million dollar swings (im talking live poker obv)

No, he clearly states USD. 50 buy-ins if the games was 200/400, but it might have been higher at some point, there might be a straddle, double straddle, even a triple straddle. Who knows. The reports clearly state the game is HUGE. Even if the blinds would be equivalent to 200/400, it doesnt mean it plays that "low". Losing 2 million USD in that kind of a game seems reasonable.
