lol, as if he cares what the press thinks. You think he got more negative press for playing poker online than he did for the insane parties he throws?

He found other interests to spend his money on...like going to SPACE.

I don't. have no itinerary, which is needed to help expedite the passport.

Since Tom wants someone there next week, I'm sure a suitable replacement can be found.

Kev, do you think this game will go on for a few more weeks? possible months? or could end abruptly?

People really need to stop complaining about the thread, they're just adding to the problem and there's not going to be anything new to add to here so may as well lock it up now.

I'd assume it can't sustain the levels it's at right now for very long.

Anybody know how long DURRRR and Ivey are planning on staying in Macau? I assume due to their endoresements they will eventually have other commitments or want to get home for Thanksgiving. I fear by the time a two plus two correspondent gets there, the action will be over. Me personally it's all about the well known American pros especially DURRRR. Thanks for all the updates in this epic thread.

I disagree. The narrative is helped by the presence of Ivey , TD, JJ and others but just like Isildur phenomena sprang forth , the main story is of the constant degeneracy taking place by the locals and what it means for poker in general.

Is it really degeneracy if these Chinese businessmen have hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars? Someone like Jean Robert Bellande putting half his BR on the table is degeneracy or DURRR putting perhaps 10 percent of his BR on the table. Seems like the US poker pros are the degens for likely playing so high. Anyway are Ivey and Durrrr friends? Maybe they do have pieces of each other to cut down on varience. Too bad there isn't a webcam like when Phil Laak did his marathon.

nice to get some details from macau, but I cant see this lasting very long.

You can be as careful and professional as possible in providing updates but it wont matter. It generates attention and that attention will cause leaks.

Its just amazing that the most popular candidate for the Macau trip is not even able to get a passport. Only in America...

I have been to Macau many times but never Las Vegas. Looking forward to reading an "outsiders" view on Macau.

There is no passport needed for that in a huge part of Europe. Anyway many people got one...

I traveled the world for nearly ten years without one. Hell, I got into Denmark once with a pay stub. True story.

Someone brought up the upcoming taping of HSP in December but no mention as to when in December it is. I imagine that would be about the only thing that would tear them away from the current spread of games anytime soon.

Hey Kevmath...seriously why not move this thread to EDF or something where posters have to be approved, or simply restrict the thread to approved posters only? It is seriously ******ed to have the thread die simply because the scum of the world ruins it for everyone...

Some of you are pretty selfish IMO, the businessmen have threatened to take the game private, showing some level of discomfort with THIS thread and you still want regular updates. If Ivey, Durrrr and Chau are fine with the thread and the possibility of being kicked out of the game due to the attention they've generated then fine, keep the updates coming.

Clarification...I am not on any "high horse." Read carefully, I was not talking about Tom...Good Lord knows that Tom understands that their privacy is very important to them. Instead, I was quoting another poster who said that the privacy of the other players wasn't a big deal.

shut the **** up.
It's the internet, where people will always expect immediate news, and instant gratification. trying to prevent the flow of information on the web, in a "news" forum, makes zero sense.

the reason why we come here, is for updates and news... and you're complaining about people wanting updates and news? wtf are you saying?

cheers

Hey bud, go back to school and learn something about history. In human history, whenever a country or empire loses the middle class, revolution or fall of the empire occurs. The middle class is the buffer zone between the rich and the poor. Once we lose the middle class, the poor will outnumber the rich and revolution occurs.
