Dwan doesn't even have the roll to play it, I guess.

Doubt that, but even if its the case, there would be 10.000 people lining up to make a staking deal with him.

Is it correct that these stakes are in Hongkongdollars? What is the rate for hkdollars compared to us?

the chinese businessmen will let the pros play from time to time. however they limit the number of pros allowed on the tables. these guys are so freakin rich even tom commented that his bluffs dont really work because these guys have balls and more importantly have cash. after losing around 4 mill, tom then bought in for 10 mill.

i do have a couple of photos taken incognito, they're uploaded on my fb, nothin interesting really(no photoshop potential). this site has some shots of the players here in macau. http://www.theasianpokertour.com/

my friend ivan commented about one of the hands played,

Just witnessed a huge pot between Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan in a high stakes cash game here at the APT macau. Here are the details.

These were the few know players that were players, the rest i have never seen before.

Dwan, Ivey, Chau Giang, Jon Juanda.

Blinds were 5k/10k HKD

Anyways here was the hand.

Ivey straddles to 20k
Dwan double straddles to 40k.
MP calls 40k
Ivey completes the 40k
Dwan maskes a raise to 180k total
MP folds
Ivey re-raises to 1million alomost all-in
Dwan instant gos all-in
Ivey snap calls
Pot is approx 3M HKD
Hands Ivey ATos, Dwan 77
Board runs out, no Ace no Ten. Dwan ships the 3Million Pot.
When i left he was up about 3.5M HKD
And to mention he was happily drinking beer.

I would imagine Dwan doesn't have the roll to play 5k 10k blinds. That is 5 to 10x the stakes there playing now. I mean 10mil is only 10 buyins, I doubt they would want to expose themselves to the huge risk of busto. Not saying Ivey can or cant tho.

Its HK$ (hongkongdollars)

$1 = 7.8HK

therefore a 3mil pot is around 385k USD

They would buy a piece of that action each (average 100 would be enough), not all the action.
Im sure there could be 10.000 player found in the pokerworld who would invest 100 each to stake dwan in a game against business fishes if properly advertised.

i guess the chances of seeing a televised game like that are close to 0 but just know some of the pots/historys of this games would be awesome.

I don't know how straddling works but how does Dwan reraise over his own raise?

because he double straddle'd, ivey straddle'd first (like a bigger blind) and dwan was next to act so has the option to double straddle (double the bigger blind, without being dealt cards until the straddle was posted), the guy after dwan could have triple straddle'd and so on so forth
