Many of these businessmen make in a year what guys like Durrrr may make in a lifetime (poker play only) and definitely have way more money than Ivey. But yes, they're probably very degen but don't worry, their kids and grandkids will be fine.

Agree with the first part, not sure about the second part.
There are many things way more dangerous in a casino than Ivey and Dwan, and true degen businessmen have been known to drop everything very quickly.
And I mean everything.

Winner of this post.... these guys(the asains) can play these games because thier net worth is 500MM+ a piece, which is 4 times the combined net worth of durr and ivey.. like when Ivey plays craps for 50k a roll, us regular people are like WHOOOAAAAAAAAA. Those rich asains are using gambling money not life rolls... also thier earning power is many times that of durr and ivey, so again gambling money.

Will be in Macau. Can someone watch the highstakes games in person, on the 2nd floor at City of Dreams/Hard Rock? What time do they usually play?

You guys have to realize that these two "businessmen" have been playing at these stakes for almost 2 years now. They aren't the kind of guys to think they have a four card flush. They have logged thousands of hours playing with very, very, good local grinders (some of which have large tourny wins, both online and live). They are far from degen.

Of course they aren't Durr or Ivey, but they certainly aren't dead money. The rest of the lineup filling the game (8 handed) isn't a piece of cake either.

The game is still going at Starworld from what I just heard. It is no longer at Hard Rock.

This is correct, they moved the game to the Hard Rock during the Asian Poker Tour Series and generally the game is private but they opened it up this week. '

"Gweilos" are not always allowed to play in the game

It is much easier to watch here at the Hard Rock than at the Starworld where the game is in a private room. Will let you know when the game gets going again as I am told it will probably happen tonight.

Please provide updates, for some reason I feel like some really interesting stories can come out of this.

Thanks, I was misinformed but PLO is growing from what I hear and it is no secret they like to gamble here.

These are some large stakes being played but pale in comparison to the games in Russia where $5k $10kUSD with $1-5 million pots are pretty standard. Tony G has asked Dwan and PA to make the trip but they have declined to date...maybe this big Asian game with get them in the mood to play with the Rusky billionairs where it is truly a man's game.

if Ivey n Dwan declined such a game surely its cuz of sketchiness and not the stakes
