Not mad at him, just can't stand his childish attempts at humour at the expense of other people. I tried to tell him this on twitter once, and the immature cry baby spat out his pacifier aka dummy, then blocked and banned me from his page.

Meh his jokes are on par with dad jokes. He doesn't profess to be a comedian or thinks he's actually making witty jokes. He's just a guy who likes to crack the occasional joke even if it's a dud. I can handle that coming from Norm.

IMO

Norman Chad’s jokes are intended to be colorful, while Lon McEachern gives the play-by-play plus minor strategy takes.

If Norm killed it, Lon would not seem knowledgeable.

This all works better when Antonio is in the booth, imo.

I've always loved Norman. He was super nice to me when I randomly stopped him to talk with him a few times back in the day. This video only gives more evidence

Oh, he can talk about his divorced wife **** for forever, I'll probably find that **** funny till I die.

Norman has been doing the same tired, unfunny schtik for decades.

He was tiresome, boring and not funny back when he was a sportswriter in DC many years before poker was on the internet. His "failed marriage" routines are truly cringe-worthy, he is best listened to with the sound turned off.

Competing with with dozen(s) of social climbers at translating theater to a tiresome, boring, and definitely not funny city of DC is a worthy challenge to anyone. There are fewer pro sports announcers that care about their game in a culturally important way with each passing year. I think Norman Chad calling Moneymaker's win by itself should place him in the poker hall of fame.
