I wonder how it all works. Ignition is regulated by Kahnawake according to a recent OPR article.

Re: NJ DGE announce agreement with Kahnawake Gaming Commission

So, the shady Indians decided to open their eyes all of the sudden and say "You serve AMERICANS????" like they didn't know?

I guess I'm just confused that with all the talk of a bad actor clause a gaming commission that has been allowing illegal services to be rendered by they sites the "govern" is allowed to team up with NJ.

Wasn't Lock poker on Kahnawake?

Re: NJ DGE announce agreement with Kahnawake Gaming Commission

I have never heard anything other than the KGC being a total sham, that basically just gives you a pretty seal for your website and does basically no regulating

Chief Norton owned Tokwiro, which owned UB , which defrauded the players. And then it went belly up again and ****ed even more players after such luminaries as Joe Sebok said that it was on the up and up

Are there any examples of the KGC doing anything in a regulatory capacity? Any sort of positive outcomes?

The press release calls the KGC a 'fellow regulator' but I'm afraid they are nothing but

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong in any form

Re: NJ DGE announce agreement with Kahnawake Gaming Commission

the KGC should be banned from regulating anything after black friday. they were supposed to be "regulating" ub/ap and we all know how that turned out. the fact they are still collecting checks makes me a little sick, im sure if the NJ DGE knew about their shady past surely they wouldn't do business with them?

“The DGE understands and respects Kahnawà:ke’s significant
accomplishments in the online gaming industry over the past 17 years—
grounded on the exercise of Mohawk jurisdiction,” added Grand Chief Joseph
Tokwiro Norton. “We consider the strengthening of our working relationship
with the DGE to be a positive development for our respective jurisdictions,
and for the online gaming industry.”

Nope!

Kahnaake has always been a sketchy place, just goggle "kahnawake cigarettes hells angels" There is a long history of illegal tobacco being a big source of revenu for the community.

Re: NJ DGE announce agreement with Kahnawake Gaming Commission

Just a press release where the corporate pocketed politicians that kicked out PokerStars for land-casino based interest and the crooks who enabled UB's theft fellate each other for being GREAT REGULATORS

Re: NJ DGE announce agreement with Kahnawake Gaming Commission

one point is that the KGC deserves zero praise for being some sort of good regulator, and its hilarious that the US gov't would call them anything close to that

i'm sure most non-trolls might appreciate the news that good ole Cheating Joe Norton is back in at the KGC

my final point is that you are a terrible poster and i will not be doing anything but ignoring you from this point forward

good day

Team up?

Sounds more like NJ told them to cut off anyone serving US customers or face their wrath.

Re: NJ DGE announce agreement with Kahnawake Gaming Commission

I definitely agree that the wording of the tweet is a little misleading

However the press release is definitely wording it as a 'partnership' where both entities are kinda pledging their commitment to get rid of 'bad actors'

bad actors in this spot are basically being defined as poker sites that have the BALLS to give the American people what they want, an avenue to online poker

The real bad actor in the past, of course, is the KGC and their corrupt leader Joe Norton, the only person in this conversation who has defrauded actual players

Well it's a good thing the NJ DGE paired with the KGC, it's near certain the latter will be ridden with incompetence and completely ineffective.
