Truly is Haters gonna Hate...
Some People CANNOT just be happy for someone else.
Its so mind boggling.
Sure there is a tad of jealousy when I see puffinmyperp take down the sunday million, then final table it again a couple months later.
I mean for the love of god I wish this Scott guy would just grow up, and maybe do something GOOD for humanity.
Instead of wasting tax payers money to try and take a bunch of kids money they made fair and square.
If I ever have the pleasure of meeting this scumbag face to face I will spit in my hand and pimp slap him in the face.

these guys are the worst of the worst. if you think debt collectors are bad, these guys definitely trump them.

imagine your life's work as helping deadbeats avoid paying back the money they borrowed/contracted to return.

You need 'standing' to file a lawsuit, don't see how this would get past summary judgment.

I'm sure US law isnt that different in damage principles
Mostly, yes.

This statute seems to be specifically crafted to give anyone standing to sue for damages once the six month period has past. Super unusual, but read the statute and see what you think.

The poker sites need to step up and protect their players. They need to cut the ppa a hefty multi million dollar check to be used to hire excellent attorneys to aggressively fight these bs actions creeping up all over the place.

assuming all the same stuff applies for these other states this is potentially HUGE if this guy were to win this and would basically ruin online poker as most states have similar laws as IL. here is a list of all the states someone posted.

I'll have look. If it is what you say it is, it doesn't sound fit for purpose

The court or the jury, as the case may be, shall determine the amount of the loss. If theres no loss, how can there be damages? Maybe it's drafted so that if A loses B's money, B can recover it if A wont.

The loss referenced is the loss by player B even if player C is suing.

My understanding is that it is an antiquated law intended to give a wife recourse if her husband gambles away all their money illegally. IANAL however.
