Is the 4 table limit for cashgames or for everything else like SNG and MTT as well?

From the 888 thread in the Internet Poker subforum:

I´d be very surprised if Gauselmann would launch a poker product.
They are more interested in the higher margin markets of sports betting and slots. You can expect increased marketing for xtip (the online sports betting brand of Gauselmann for the German market) in the coming weeks.

Regarding Gauselmann´s involvement in this whole situation

More information on what we can expect starting from
the 1st July of 2021:

(1)
-poker providers can only spread a poker variant if the poker variant
has been approved by the regulator

(2) could imply:

(3)
-only humans are allowed to play, bots are not allowed

To me the regulations seem to contradict the tax agencies stance on taxability of poker players.
I dont see how i can keep playing professionally online once all the laws come into passing. So i see only the options of moving outside the country (which is hard for me having family) or getting a lawyer that represents the professional poker community to fight these restrictions being applied to professionals.

I dont know how many professionals are left here in germany, that are playing taxes as well, but I would like to connect with all of them and see how they go about this or if we can do something together.

Any germany based professional poker player, feel free to send me a PM
check your inbox. Maybe we should create a discord for german poker players being ****ed over right now?

It doesn't go into much detail, but hard to imagine that they'll make a distinction because they probably just don't know better. For now, I'd assume that it's a hard rule for 4 tbls max accross all legally operating sites.

Question is if I get money online today will that be counted towards the 1k limit when I try to deposit later this month again?

Presumably not - and if you deposit over €1k I don't see them forcibly making you withdraw back down to €1k. There's no limit to balance, to my knowledge. So as long as you trust the site and it is money you've already earmarked for bankroll, I see no downside depositing it prior to the 15th.

from the article: https://www.isa-guide.de/isa-law/articles/210553.html

"Der GlüStV 2021 erscheint – wie schon seine Vorgänger – evident unionsrechtswidrig. Die Dienstleistungs- und Niederlassungsfreiheit werden ungerechtfertigt beschränkt. Zur Rechtfertigung werden Argumente, wie der Spielerschutz und die Kanalisierung nur vorgeschoben. In Wahrheit dient der Vertrag fiskalischen Interessen der Entscheidungsträger."

While I agree with most of what is said in that article, we should take it with a grain of salt since the website is clearly run by the gambling industry and has an obvious bias. That doesn't mean that what is said is inherently the wrong interpreation of the law, but we should always keep in mind that several interpreations can exist that have their own merit.

i think that’s the position GG is taking. They seem to believe that the law is against EU rights anyway and won’t make any changes. well, they don’t care about any regulations anyway so no surprise
