New no-skill Stars game: "The Deal" - Poker News

Stars has a new game out, called "the deal jackpot". You can pay 7 or 70 starscoin to play. You get dealt 7 cards face down, you choose 2 to discard, and then you turn the rest over and receive a starscoin prize based on the strength of your 5 card hand.
Here are the payouts:

You also have the option to auto-play, like a slot machine.
The current jackpot total appears right above your cashier.

I was actually surprised this was available in Canada, as sports and casino are not as far as I know. I was not sure if it would work, but it did, and I guess I will quit while ahead having made a whopping $1 with my flush on the first hand.

I assume the odds are horrid on this game (would not be hard to check), but a dormant account with 14 starcoins will have something to do in theory.

you can play from usa#1 right now if you have starcoins in your acc, dunno what happens if you actually win money but i happily donated my leftover 2k starcoins back to our amayan overlords

those are also the payouts for the 7coin spin, think you get 50-couple hundo for hands straight - sf and jackpot for any sf for 70coins

They did a similar thing at the Full Tilt London Open last year as a free promo. Same rules but with a live dealer.
Everyone in the tournament had a chance to have a go. If you made at least two pair (I think) you got to spin a prize wheel giving away hats/tshirts etc. One segment gave a $250 tournament ticket. Naturally, I bagged the $250.

also if you play within 12 hrs of sum1 winning jackpot you get your share of 50% of the prizepool split among every1 else who played within 12 hrs.

Still don't see how this is a great poker offering, literally made to bend people over for the little amounts of rakeback they get from playing amayas already high raked pos offerings

They've lowered the prizes (and removed the freerolls) but it's the same format.

its really nice. jackpot grow up 50X time faster than before. expected someone hitting the jackpot once every month. and get rid of freeroll tickets is also nice move.

This should be in the casino section of the site and regulated as such. It has nothing to do with poker apart from the hand rankings. No skill involved (except hand reading!).

as far as i know stars has no license for casino games in my country so they should remove this garbage bull**** from the poker lobby asap. great way to lower rakeback of recs btw which is why this crap was invented.

Thanks Youriw. So basically you are losing almost 50% of your starscoin each time you play. Greasy.
As others said, I don't understand why this is here if we don't have casino games. Is this some kind of loophole? I think we should contact the governing body for gaming and see how this is allowed...

Yes gone for me in Ireland now.

Thank God I was going to email support and try and have it blocked from my account.
