If they do (or call any pre-flop re-raises to the 5x) they then get the option to bet / check / or *replace* either the turn or the river card with a new burn and turned card!!! ...
Please clarify. If you replace, does that mean you cannot bet?
i dont see how anyone could ever draw for a flush. for the SB would always change the card whenever the flush hit unless he had it himself. and the odds of another flush replacing it would be so low, a draw could never be done.
I think this would make the game much tighter and create less action.
1) Players now have to call $10 preflop in a game where they are expecting a $2 bb. Your reasoning here is why people say "straddling livens up the game" when in reality at low limits, it kills action.
2) They have to get that money in against a player who can change cards as the hand goes on.
If you are not the SB, and he takes his hero power, and you have a tier one hand, the correct action is to raise large to take away the pot immediately. If you have a lesser hand or a drawing type hand, you shouldn't be playing at all against someone who has this power.
I would expect a game of this nature to see almost every hand end preflop. It's not a good idea.
