If I could play one of the bots in this machine HU in the same structure it would be a bloodbath. These "players" don't balance, don't bluff, and pretty much never fold. We were stuck 70 bets because of the rake. If you put the rake back in we were probably up 300 bets or more.

I completely agree with this. This machine makes 2004 Party Poker look like a nitty grind. If the rake was 20% instead of 25%, any player with slightly above average skills would probably crush it.

The biggest leak it has I think is it jams a flopped top pair on flop/turn 4 bets almost regardless of the action.

This machine is made by IGT. Wasn't this the same company that released a HU Bot that players on this forum finally confirmed was basing its decisions on what both the player and the computer held? I thought they proved that it would raise/call if you had nothing and fold if you had a hand. These types of machines are just slots, unwinnable machines if that's the case. That kind of stuff is just exploiting poker, cards dealt are supposed to be concealed and random. If this machine is fixed I wouldn't be so excited. If the cards are random and concealed then please, show me the ledger where it says so.

Who confirmed that? That machine has been discussed in 10+ threads over the years and no one ever came to that conclusion. That machine just plays extremely well.

The only people who actually think that machine was rigged had no idea about how to play HU LHE.

The type of machine you describe here would be illegal in Nevada.

I just got a mailer that I assume was triggered by my play on this machine from a couple of weeks ago. I have two free nights at Rincon or Tahoe with a $25 meal credit and a mystery free play of $30-$250.

Is Harrah's the only Vegas casino that has these?

I walked the entire Strip tonight for an unrelated project. I was looking for more installs of this game while I did it. I didn't find any. The one at Harrah's is still there. Nobody was playing it.

So I played the new bot as I've had very good success with other bot. Due to all of the action, the 25 percent rake usually becomes much lower since it caps at 9 chips. Obviously, as pokeraddict and others have said, these bots stay in when they are clearly beat by other bots or hopefully the player (even with massive raising)........giving you unusually good odds when you win. Is this beatable like the no rake hu bot? That's tough to say but I plan on playing it more and figuring that out. I wish there were slightly higher stakes available though.

So, you said playing at the $1 stakes, you could get 1000 tier points an hour? So in 5 hours you could make Diamond? What would you guess would be the average cost of that?

No offense to John but there is no way his tier credit guess was correct. I played at the highest stakes for half an hour or so and my tier credit projection wasn't close to his and I'm confident I was playing much faster.

What would you estimate your hourly tier rate was?

300-400 I think.

K, thx. Diamond in a day would be possible, but tiring.

My tier numbers were correct for what I received on my play. I could have played twice as fast, twice as loose, or a combination of the two. I simply multiplied what I got from $.25 by 4 to for $1 coin estimate. I'm sure I played far too loose at the beginning but at the same time I didn't discover the skip hand button for a while.

If you had to guess on the net loss to make 5000 points, on average, what would it be?

I suppose the loss would be around $1k-$1.5k. That is only a somewhat educated guess.

I just got a locals mailer from Caesars almost certainly triggered by this play. It was $40 in free play, free hotel rooms at Rio and $40 in dining credits. It also triggered a bunch of gift days, some mystery, some disclosed. It doesn't look like any play is required for the gifts that are handbags, watches, and a vanity set.

Well this machine is gone from Harrah's. I'm pretty upset as it was fun and possibly beatable even with the large rake. Anyway.........if anyone sees this around town- please post here.

That is unfortunate. It was a fun machine. I was hoping it would catch on. I have not seen any others in my scouting work.
