That's roughly the same player pool for NV/DE and the biggest Sunday mtts. So an approximate doubling in field sizes can be expected. Importantly for us DE players, there will now be mtts every day that start and finish at reasonable hours.

Summer during the WSOP will be even better, as there is always a significant uptick in traffic for all games during June and July. That NJ players will now have access to the online bracelet events will bring significant traffic to the pooled site from NJ for those events, and perhaps some of those NJ players will stay on for the non-bracelet tourneys.

well let me try to make this clear

NEVER will South Dakota (around 40 states you could insert there) establish an intrastate online poker market. So they will NEVER be part of a combined player pool. It's that simple

Further, NEVER will Pokerstars, et al duplicate infrastructure in state after state after state. There are maybe six commercial gaming states where it is worth it, but not beyond that.

In other words, they are not going to establish servers in each state. Period. If you don't believe, ask them.

So, unless and until states like Wyoming and Arizona pass bills authorizing their state to enter into agreements with states in which that infrastructure already exists, without insisting on starting with an intrastate product, they will be left out in the cold.

Never is an awfully strong word, but you're right to an extent, we will never see all 50 states join together if it goes state by state. The marijuana industries path is a great example of that, but now that it is in the majority of the country in some capacity we're getting close to it being made legal federally. State by state doesn't have to be the end all be all, it just has to get the right eye balls looking.

I'm more excited about the possibility of sports betting being made legal, as that will lead to poker being legal, but some progress is better than no progress.

WSOP.com Announces New Loyalty Program And Promotions For Interstate Online Poker

New loyalty program
In conjunction with the liquidity sharing agreement, WSOP.com is also overhauling its online rewards, and increasing the maximum rakeback players can earn.

“The new and enhanced loyalty club will be called “Poker Rewards” and will allow players to achieve an industry best — up to a 32% rake back based on their participation,” the press release states. “As a result of these changes, Total Rewards levels will be removed from Poker Rewards as to not confuse with offline Diamond and above levels.”

The new rewards tiers WOP.com will put in place are:

Player (Monthly) – 0-199 APP’s ($0-$99 in rake) = 0% rake back
Bronze (Monthly) – 200-749 APP’s ($100-$324 in rake) = 8% rake back
Silver (Monthly) – 750-1,499 APP’s ($325-$749 in rake) = 20% rake back
Elite (Monthly) – 1,500-19,999 APP’s ($750-$9,999 in rake) = 25% rake back
Champions Club (Annual) – 20,000+ APP’s ($10,000+ in rake) = 32% rake back

Should a player (not from those three states) that intends to play some while in Vegas in June wait until after May 1 to download/register, or does it not matter?

Well there is no download until May 1st, you just register now. You can get a better pick of usernames before something you want might be taken, etc. Also in case you need to verify things then you can get that out of the way.

After I posted I realized it was sent to people from Nevada.

I thought I would still get one since I have an account in both states.

If you play in NJ and you're going to the WSOP this summer, will you be able to play using your NJ screen name or do you need a separate account for NV? Never had NV Account, fyi.

I don't think NJ people need to do anything except update software when the notice comes. You should be good to go.

Support and pre-registration already a joke. Tried to pre-register but it said my SSN didn't match up with birthdate (wtf?). Then it asked me to upload photo of government-issued ID. I did. No confirmation e-mail. I contacted them a day and a half later and now the support person is telling me a different story about needing to upload utility bill.

The process was extremely smooth for me. I got my screen name from the old wsop Nevada site so I’m
Very happy!

I emailed support asking this question. They told me I would need to make a separate Nevada account to play on while in Nevada as I will not be able to play on my NJ account while physically in Nevada.

That's a good example.

Even individual counties within states ban dispensaries from holding business licenses. California has problems because 80% of the counties in California have banned cannabis dispensaries. There are weed shortages in the legal California weed market because licensed grow operations have reduced from 100,000 prior to "legalization" to about 3,000.

Weed legalization is pretty much a joke. If the states don't ever regain access to the ROW player pool the same will be true of the licensed online poker industry.

Tournament players like me seem to really desire to see access to the ROW regained. We want to see the biggest prize pools possible. Whereas, cash game players don't seem as eager to give pros in the ROW access to American degens. I just think a lot more American degens would log on if they had big MTT prize pools attracting them.

I'd rather see one state gain access to the ROW player pool as opposed to a bunch of states in a ring fenced market.

Same thing happened to me except it said the SSN didn't match my address. Oh and if one of the reps tells you to upload ANYTHING via the poker client, don't listen to them. You'll just be wasting another day and will get an email asking you to upload them on the nj cashier site.

...Oooh, and make sure they can see the date on the utility bill or you'll have to resend it lol.

No, it isn't. California is a joke. Weed legalization is working fine in WA, price point is not far above where it was prior, and the state is raking in hundreds of millions.

You cannot compare these two industries or their struggle for legalization .... marijuana legalization efforts have been ongoing of DECADES ... this didn't happen overnight

That's for another thread, but it isn't.
