Just got back from holiday abroad. pokerstars.eu still working as normal also Unibet.

@4BetBoke - Slovakia is not a net withdrawing country - for reasons that will become clear if you ever play live here. If the volume was there I'd be happy to trade the international pool for a table of 6 players all located in Slovakia. But the trouble is SNGs and MTTs need a bigger area tha 5 million people.

Some sites on the ban list seem to still be accessible though.

Are ISPs actually obliged to block these or is it just banks are meant to stop transfers to the listed accounts?

ISPs should block these sites upon court request. How it is done in real life is uknown to me.

What i heard is that blocking can be done through provider`s DNS servers. Easy way how to bypass this would be using other DNS service such Google`s one. Just set up 8.8.8.8 (8.8.4.4 as backup) as DNS server in your router and you are good to go.

Little information in slovak language about whole blocking from august: http://dsl.sk/article.php?article=20118&title=

they did the same banlist in Poland and literally nothing has changed (except for Skrill pulling out, so we need new e-wallet), they cant ban connection to pokerroom, just the site that promotes it, so Stars changed from Pokerstars.pl to pokerstars-1.pl and everything is the same

Betfair.com seems to be blocked (connection refused) on both Orange and Antik and changing the DNS settings doesn't seem to help (possibly blocked from their end).

No I'm English living in Slovakia - though Slovakia/Slovenia often get mixed up

Interestingly Paddy Power (same owner) displays

"Restricted Territory Message
Our Software detects that you may be accessing the Paddy Power website from a country that Paddy Power does not accept bets from. If you believe that this detection has occurred in error, please Contact us for further assistance."

and they are apparently now removed from the internet ban list so Betfair are presumably going the same route.

I thought i saw you post somewhere that you are from Slovenia, living in Slovakia. Never mind then.

Yeah the mix-up is shocking, frequently even coming from Europeans.

Right now i am on Swan 4G for home users.
Tried betfair and message poped up in browser that site was blocked "upon decision of the court in Banska Bystrica".

However i tried to use google DNS servers and site is running just fine. So it seems like different ISPs using different methods to fulfil the requirements of the court.

Two news items:

1) betfair.com now working on Orange (google dns, didn't test normal) but not Antik (either DNS). Was able to bet (close out an existing politics bet, so it was a reduction in exposure - maybe it wouldn't work the other way round).

2) As the international options disappear, tipos.sk have stepped up to the plate with a great new offer for players:

3) Personal news - signed up to get Swan Internet in my office

Betfair only worked one time under Orange after that it was blocked again. Since then have got Swan internet in my office and can confirm betfair works fine with Google DNS.
