Received a notice from a privacy monitoring service that they discovered my Neteller account information. They date the breach as last July. Anyone else?
Neteller have suspiciously asked me to change password/secure ID a couple of times over the years, always denying a data breach. Came to light long after that they did get hacked but apparently did not realise it until much later (big time bs imo).
makes sense, there were scam e-mails i was receiving from neteller since about as long as the hack took place. they were fairly convincing the first time or two except for the fact that i almost never click on links in e-mails, especially in this context.
Well I suppose the biggest concern of any new prospecting customer looking to move money online IS security, so it makes sense to address that on their web page...

Around a month ago they made me change my 6 digit secure code on my account but wasn't required to change the password. Makes sense if they have been breached.
It told me that my email address was revealed in the Neteller hack:
