My verdict about Poker: Why bother to play? My verdict about Poker: Why bother to play?

I would like to raise awareness about playing poker online or casinos, i mean any context where the game is organized by a 3. party or house...

In my opinion, the house, as a commercial firm with the only goal to maximize the profit, will do everything possible to increase their profit. This would include fixing the game to a level where authorities or naive players wouldn't notice...

Isn't it the same for companies who are trying to cheat the system to pay less tax? or lie to you with marketing to sell you something useless? You will see most of the rich will take their money to tax heavens... So, although they are obliged to pay tax, they will do everything to pay less and profit more... But, which one of us has any chance to challenge them? Simply, we can't...

So, I am quite convinced that casinos or online game organizers have the same logic: they will use all methods, including illegal, to maximize their profit without authorities noticing or many players realizing what they do...

The only whistle-blowers could be staff or players. But, how could staff know about cards being chipped or signed with symbols which can be seen with special lenses for example, if the owner of the casino made a direct deal with some "staff players" who earn handsome commission, hence those staff players wouldn't whistle-blow too.

And those innocent players can suspect but have no access to anything to be able to investigate or even ask for investigation... Most of them keep losing and saying "oh I am not lucky" today... And when a player loses, the staff's excuse is always there: "oh sorry you are not lucky, try tomorrow"...

For example, when you lose money in stock markets, you have right to investigate and inquire to authorities... but with casino, you have almost no chance... no casino will ever allow anyone to investigate... or nobody knows or given any guidance on how to investigate... Even then, casinos will have taken all the measures to disguise everything...

To me, this poker game is a big industry of hoax and scam...

Just think about it, say you are a casino owner. You take 5% from the rakes. and let's say there is $100k on the pot on a day, and you are supposed to take $5k of that... But, if you manage to get some staff players to play on your behalf with illegal techniques, and nobody will notice that, you are making let's say $20k or $30k... This is like, 4-6 times more profit for you... Isn't it tempting? It is tempting and you will do it! Because, your risks are very limited; no player could question or investigate anything... It is almost impossible... And you will want to make more money and you will fix the game... Losing players will always leave with the thought of having bad luck...

I have never seen an industry where an investor will accept the explanation of "bad luck" when losing money... But, in poker, this is the best and only explanation that a casino needs to make... Such a simple way to answer your customer inquiries: "sorry bad luck..."

IT IS SIMPLE LOGIC: WHY WOULDN'T A BUSINESS TRY TO EARN MORE BY DITCHING AUTHORITIES OCCASIONALLY? THEY WILL USE THE MAXIMUM POTENTIAL OF ILLEGALITY UNTIL A POINT OF BEING NOTICED FOR SURE!!

So, this game fixing is happening in many casinos in my opinion to confirm that:

HOUSE ALWAYS WINS BUT WINS MORE and MORE THAN IT IS SUPPOSED TO WIN and GUESS WHAT? YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

So, just play this game for fun with friends... Don't waste your hard-earned cash in poker which is mostly fixed...

in essence he is partly right. smaller casinos that are not growing always will be tempted to do wrong. same with any person there is always temptation to make money by illegal or morally wrong ways. some do and some dont.
the majority dont and those that do get caught at some point.
so its up to the customers to keep alert and if not winning figure out why.

and most times it isnt the casino owners cheating it a group or person that works there in some capacity.
you always have to be careful. as even the mighty volkswagon company worth billions was falsifying their gas mileages on their cars.
