Good point there. It’s quite reasonable to aim for $15/hr live playing 1/2. Doable if you study hard and play a decent game. But you’d need to play 135 hrs per month to get to 2k. That’s a lot of evenings away from the family. And you need a much bigger bankroll to start. At least 4k I’d say.
I you really want to go for it, and the family is 100% behind it, then don’t give up on the dream. But keep the job for now, study and play hard to become a winner at 25NL online. Work extra hours to build up a buffer. Once you got the 4k start playing part-time live for a couple of month to see if you van make the required hourly.
