I played in this tournament and had multiple nosebleed regs at my table.

There was also Negraneau, Josh Arieh, Eli Elezra, David Williams, Dylan Weisman and many more in this field.

It's a little unlucky to get a ton at the same table , but given how many big time pros play these tournaments, its not that much bad luck.

Really the lesson learned is that any non-NLH bracelet event is horrible value overall since a lot of tops pros play it just for the bracelet prestige. For a 1k tournament the number of top pros is absurd. But, I'm playing it for the same reason they are, that sweet sweet validation of getting a WSOP bracelet.

Also, it's the millionth reminder a lot of these pros aren't that loaded, because while there's some clout to getting a bracelet and ability to monetize that clout, it's still pretty telling that so many of these guys find a $1k worth their time. I was shocked to see Koray Aldemir in the $600 PLO, I don't know if he sold a ton of action for his main event win or if the dude just loves poker that much he'll grind a $600 PLO despite having 10 million in the bank.
