I’m assuming all the influencers are being paid to participate or at the very least having their buyins covered. Maybe not Mr. Beast since it seems like he’s no stranger to high stakes poker. Each of these influencers on their own have much bigger online presences than HCL and even poker as a whole. There would be very little incentive for them to come on the show if they weren’t at least put into the game on someone else’s dollar.

Alexandra did a twitch stream yesterday where she said WPT is staking her 50K for tonight’s game.

She also said she wired an extra 50K of her own money to rebuy incase she busts the first one.

She received coaching from Lucky Chewy during this stream who seems to be working with WPT to put out free coaching material.

that makes sense, Mr Beast made $50M on YT last year and spends 7 figures on all of his videos so wouldnt surprise me if he is on his own money but Ludwig/Botez dont have that kind of money. Botez is 2000+ rated at chess so i would guess that she is the best player out of the influencers and maybe only slightly -ev in the game.

Ludwig/botez definitely have that type of money. Not mr beast money but they are both absolutely killing it. Regardless, their buyin is surely covered as they are doing HCL a favor by lending them their star power.

Well that's subjective. What we do know for certain is they can easily afford to buy into this game, which is kind of irrelevant anyways since their buyins will be covered.

It can't hurt. But it's not like poker ever had an exposure problem. I'd even go as far as to say poker today is overall more popular than it was back in the golden years of online. Now it's a truly global game, back then it was more of an American thing. The only reason this is not reflected in the quantity and quality of games is government regulation and segregation. Bring back the same worldwide pool we had pre BF and numbers today would dwarf anything in the past.

The hinted addition is Ninja (was a massive streamer quite a few years ago when fortnite was big/new , nowadays prob one of the smaller streamers in this lineup but still quite big)

This is correct in all accounts. To give you an idea of the influence of a guy like Ludwig, he played in a "Pogchamps" poker tournament a little over a year ago, and my son, an avid viewer of his, immediately started playing the game. And sure enough he's been on the WSOP app for the past few days since he heard about Ludwig's dalliance into poker. Yes, most of these guys have viewers not old enough to play in casinos (my son just turned 18), but you have to start somewhere, right?

My one complaint about this lineup is the lack of a truly elite poker player. The addition of Alex Foxen, Jason Koon, or Nick Petrangelo etc would make this a far more entertaining game from my perspective. Dwan hasn't been world class since Black Friday and Hellmuth since the 90's.

Alan Keating is incredible action and a great addition to the game.

Dwan brings in poker viewers from the golden era.

I'm not sure Hellmuth adds much value. Everyone who knows Phil Hellmuth almost certainly knows Tom Dwan. And we all know that he is going to nit it up tonight. Hopefully he has a big blow up against one or more of the streamers that goes viral. That's all he's good for.

I don't think you can use Nick Petrangelo and entertaining in the same sentence.

In terms of table talk, I agree, but in terms of the complexity of his strategies, I strongly disagree.

I just mentioned him because he's one of the few US Pro's I know that seem to be world class/ highly respected by top pros.

Limitless would be a good choice. He was on LATB yesterday so he's in the area.

Dwan and Hellmuth are almost certainly the choice due to Mr Beast knowing them and having played with them a bunch before.

Good call on Limitless and he'd be the perfect addition to the game. He's also one of the rare world class talents who gives a lot of action in juicy games.

It is ludwigs game / sponsored by WPT but hosted on hustlers game/production - from clip above ludwig was talking with mr beast about how much of a legend dwan is and how awesome hellmuth is, none of these streamers are going to know who limitless is


Ludwig even tweeted out when he added ninja tagging everyone except alan keating listing the lineup so he probably isn't even sure about him - hustler production manager replied saying the one guy you didn't tag I think will end up being your favourite player at the table by the end of the night

Just because they don't know who Limitless is doesn't mean we shouldn't try to teach them who the best players in the world REALLY are. Ryan Feldman (Producer of Hustler Poker) could have reached out and said, "hey, we should consider adding one of the world's best players to this game, I'd recommend Limitless, LinusLove, Ike Haxton etc. Btw Hellmuth is an awful nit and bad for the game. Bye."

I think Ludwig, Mr. Beast and Botez would have been receptive to this. Especially Botez given her chess background. Could have sold having LinusLove in the game as like playing Chess vs Magnus Carlsen but you actually have a chance of winning in the short term and still get to see the beauty of his strategy.
