Canada and UK look easiest choices. UK is good because a quirk of their law (the same one that makes it tax free) means poker playing professionally isn't regarded as working, so you won't be breaking any tourist or student visa terms.

Once in the UK you can explore the rest of Europe easily with cheap flights etc.

If you are young your choices are basically in or near London or one of the towns in the north with some decent nightlife and lots of students (Manchester for example has 100k students and a international airport and is a lot cheaper to live in than London - which is world city prices)

New Zealand and Oz are good too if you can get in, although really if you like city life Melbourne and Sydney are the only ones big enough.

Maybe places like Panama and Costa Rica if you want to try S. America and Thailand is pretty popular etc. if you want to go exotic.

If you are young and want to travel then you could pretty much just get a backpack and go anywhere you like. Buy 3G internet dongles for your laptop as you move around and if you find somewhere you like then stay around a while. With a bit of luck you get a year or so travelling, see all sorts of great people and places and come back home in time for the US to legalise internet poker..

Unless you make more than $87,500 you won;t pay any US tax if you're out of the country enough...

Hey guys,

It took me a couple of weeks longer then I expected to get everything in my grindhouse in Costa Rica together.

But the good news is I've switched over my stars account to CR and I have a nice house, freshly painted and IMO the place is more then just a house, it's a home. I feel very comfortable and safe there.

I currently have 3 spots available in the house located in the mountains north of San Jose, which is about a 15 minute cab ride from Downtown, Casinos etc. An expansion is coming soon as well.

It's a 3 bedroom , 2 bath in a suburban neighborhood. Gated and secure carport and entrance. 2 sources of internet, and a backup generator. The room prices range from $525 to $725 per month, utilities and internet included.

We also have a relocation service and provide you with the bank accounts as well as the documentation needed by the sites. Once in Costa Rica, we can help you get the packet submitted within just a couple days and get you on your way back to grinding.

I made quite a few mistakes that cost me a lot of time getting the account switched over and learned some valuable lessons. As a result the process is much more streamlined if you decide to join us.

Email me at octosean555@gmail.com and I can send you a pdf / brochure with all of the information and pictures of the house and rooms available.

If your interested I encourage you to act sooner rather then later as I expect these spots to fill rather quickly.

Lets get our way of life back dammit!

Just a small thread to anyone considering moving abroad to play on line poker.

One of the best places to do so is Malta, its legal to play on line poker and best of all tax free.

Pleantly of live action as well with casinos having poker.

Malta is situated in the middle of the Meditereanean, just below Italy, good climate all year round, Englsih speaking and quite affordable, for more info see www.visitmalta.com

I am Maltese myself so if you have any questions drop me a line on mattard7@yahoo.com

I can also help you obtain residence permit and open bank accounts if required.

I heard they just suspended or raised the requirements for permanent residency there. Is it still simple to move there indefinitely?

markitosrave-

Sounds interesting, how is the internet, a place where i can rent a beach house for 250-500 dollars a month, I'm going to suspect the internet might not be that great.
