I think it benefits the thread if we try to have a dialog with JY rather than just calling him a ****ing ****. Keep it civil.

This was honestly his best shot -- come out during a much bigger issue, say "Yeah, Jason owes me $2k", and hope it's worth $2k to Jason to quickly pay that in order to buy some credibility back.

I'd have done the same thing in Assani's shoes.
In our last email exchange JY told me that MM owes him money and that I would be getting paid once MM pays him(just re-read the email to verify this....he didn't specifically say it, but its very clearly implied). Therefore if I come into a thread and see MM about to pay, its probably not in my best interest to say anything.

Anyway, I'll drop it. I've said my part, I've tried to be as honest as possible, and I'll let Chris and/or popular opinion decide what to do. The one thing I do want to be clear is that I'm not at all trying to pressure MM here(and even if I was I don't think I succeeded, as nobody in the thread is saying that he would be wrong if he doesn't pay me)....I was just making a request, and I'll be completely cool with Chris regardless of his choice. If he would rather discuss things via PM I'm fine with that.

cmon man, assani. its moneymaker vs jason young resolved then not resolved then resolved again...but not.

but dont start defending yourself. if cm gives it to charity you are still owned money by JY

Assani? If you were not linked this thread, you owe JY. Your business is with JY. Nothing has changed.

I take the over.
I'll take the bet (on behalf of my bookie, who certainly is not JY). How does $2022 sound?

I'd love to get answers to these two questions.

What will Jasons next move be? I predict he will produce a fictional bookie, maybe a second cousin or something that he promises to pay if he can fraud mm out of 20k.

Don't worry, if he does this, there's an easy way to prove whether he's lying or not, which I won't reveal out here just yet.

It turns out I can't escrow. Can my grandmother vouch for me?

BTW, for any clowns in the NY area who are planning to go to the restaurant and screw with them because of Jason, don't.

Jason, by his own admission, is just an investor. He doesn't outright own it.

We don't know how much he owns, but I bet it's a small percentage, unless he inherited it or something.

You can own less than 1% and still legally call yourself an "owner".

He said something about working 110 hours per week, but I bet if you called there at a different random time all seven days this upcoming week, and asked for him, he wouldn't be there.

I have no information to back this up, but it's just a vibe I'm getting.

And who here is questioning your credibility?

Both these cats are looking like goofballs.

Your starting to seem one sided again.

I find it interesting OP is pretty semi non existent ITT. Especially when it gets juicy.

After this last post, I am guessing that JY will be disappearing from this thread very shortly.

I am one-sided in that I think Jason is wrong here.

I am not one-sided in that I had no bias toward either party. I don't know Jason, and I am not friends with Chris.

I have been pointing out where Chris was wrong here -- the fact that he was ALSO shady by freerolling his end of the bet. I called Chris out for this BEFORE Jason posted those texts confirming it.

However, Chris isn't the one asking for money. It's Jason asking for money.

Since Jason will not give ANY evidence that his "bookie" exists, and also will not provide ANY evidence that he was solvent at the time of the bet, the whole thing should be VOID, and neither of them should owe each other anything.

This thread just keeps getting better and better! Jason you aren't coming off very good IMO. Just admit the business took up way more of your money than you had planned for, that there was never really a bookie (theres no way an agent can make the call to roll 5k by the way, unless you guys have a settle number like in the five figures which is unheard of), apologize and work towards paying the people owe back. Then you can put this behind you, you can stop pretending you're a real gambler and you can move on with your life.

And for god sake learn how to write a godamn sentence.

for the record, I once again have sent out a message to a friend(on skype this time) asking to take Jason's transfer via Wells Fargo or Chase. I am awaiting reply. I have asked 2 people so far, and I will ask more if necessary. It is annoying that I'm having to figure out a solution to this when the bet stated that he would pay via BoA, but I'll keep trying. Some people have expressed reservations about giving Jason banking info and they want to make sure that its safe first*, which may be one reason for any delays. Or if Jason can find a 3rd party to send a Stars transfer then that would work too.

*Can someone tell me the information that you can SAFELY give out for Wells Fargo or Chase? I think if multiple people ITT confirm that one method is perfectly safe that may expedite the process. I've only ever used BoA, so I have no clue.
