So will the "Bark like a seal" scene be in the movie?

I read the book. It was alright. I love, love me some Jessica Chastain and Stringer Bell and I will go see this movie but I'm not expecting much.

Specifically because of the poker chips. Call me crazy but Rounders got the little details right. One being real poker chips. It's almost a litmus test.

As someone said earlier this trailer, is horrible.

I enjoyed the book. Trashy but a page turner. Don't have high hopes for the film but good cast and writer, so fingers crossed.

Since that's arguably the most douchey part of the book, I'd imagine it has to be in the movie.

Extremmmmmely good writer. Who also directed. I mean **** Aaron sorkin is probably my favorite screenwriter so even though this looks like ****; I want to see what he does.

Trailer looks terrible. Non-rounders poker movies are terrible. That said, Sorkin is great and the cast looks good so i'll see it.

For the movies fans the cast is extraordinary...but sorkin is making his directorial debut in this film...although as a screenplay he is very good

We had chips made for "Lucky You" as well as a great cast and producer, it still didn't help.

Probably not the chips fault.

Without a good story, all the custom chips in the world won't save it.

Molly's Game has a great story suitable for a movie. This will all come down to how well the adaptation was executed.

Trailer doesn't look promising. I'll still watch.

You also had an outstanding screenwriter in Eric Roth, who penned two of my favorite scripts of the last 20 years (Munich, The Insider); and a fine director. So yeah, you never know.

The generic chip thing is so bizarre to me. It happens in 90% of these movies.

Yeah, there was some okay celebrity gossip in the book (which can't be used in the movie), but I didn't think there was much dramatic interest to build a movie around. That trailer didn't change my mind.

Sorkin gets the benefit of the doubt, though. I didn't think I would care about how a bunch of rich jerks would divide up billions of dollars, but I loved The Social Network. Maybe he'll make me care about rich jerks playing poker for millions.

And if Michael Cera is playing 'Michael Cera' from This Is the End in full coked-up ahole mode, that alone would make it worth seeing.

It's probably the same exact set of chips too. Came from the same prop warehouse in the valley.

Whatever...Molly Bloom was nothing , just hustled the men in the game for sex and money! Until they got tired of it and kicked her to the curb...btw, she was banging Illya Trincher little brother trying to grasp on any strings she had. Molly is a phony.

The first 3/4 of your post is incoherent rambling. Care to explain how you know so much about the underground LA poker scene at that time? What she was doing, and her story, went to court where she and others testified under oath as to what was going on. But please, enlighten us as to what really happened.

I don't know about Molly's game specifically, but for what it's worth, significant majority of the big games in NYC use very generic chips, from Nexgen, to plastic, to Monte Carlo and Bluff Canyon sets that you can buy for $200 on Amazon.
