It has been correlated that when his cap had padding he wasn't looking down at his phone all the time. In other words, with the stuff now coming in via bone conducting Bluetooth, there was no need cheat with the phone. Al

Agree. Also you could think that part of the fun for a rec player is to watch themselves on TV after the session. If you look at the stream seeing yourself playing, seeing how Postle is playing and hearing the commentators, alarmbells should be ringing in your head. Even if you are not the most experienced player.

Watch closely here as the cheater thinks about folding AK on the K84 flop.

He rubs his hat in a VERY strange way with his wrist, as if he is pushing the hat into his head. He then makes a fold that is a fist-pump snap call all day.

re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

Iv seen a lot of this guy on stream and he is legimately sick, seems like a bona fide live crusher. Would love to play with him in person. Doesnt he reguarly play games 25/50 and up? Would be shocked if he doesnt get a ton of people vouching for him.

Also his crusher advantage is likely amplified in his home game because he knows most/all of the players well.

Anyways, i think cheating suspicions jave to at least be treated seriously given his track record, though i dont know much of what he plays off stream.

it's really sick cause I watch stones live on a weekly basis for the last couple of years and never really put it together. I always thought it was so bizarre how he never ever seemed to lose but I thought "well maybe small sample size cause live poker" or whatever. I just never imagined it would be possible to cheat like this. It just seemed too movie-esque I suppose.

You're right. It's just that it's another optimal decision. He could have decided to try to get value from tp but no; another great read.

"I just have good instincts" said every cheater ever.

This came to mind as if someone was cut out of profit.

Regarding incompetent investigators of electronics, idk, maybe they would contract a private company if it's very involved and their own staff don't have the ability.

And if his excuse is he makes soul reads, how is he able to soul read people when his head is in his lap the entire hand? He had to be poked by his neighbor to tell him the action was on him in the 54o hand.

It’s beyond absurd. I’m not a hater or jealous of anyone. I’m constantly questioning every single line I take and even though I’m beating the game, I recognize I leave hundreds or thousands of dollars on the table every single session. I always look at how others play and ask how I could improve. But there is absolutely no evidence to suggest he is playing good poker or has any strategy or exploit on his opponents beyond actually knowing their hole cards.
When Durr and Ivy were crushing people on HSP, you could tell they had a clear strategy, and they still punted into strong hands every now and then.

I’m perfectly willing to admit there are people who play better than me. I don’t even think I’m the best player in my poker room. But this guy is just clicking buttons and always happens to be right. Amazing coincidence!

I reckon each hand would be a charge of cheating, not just each stream or just one charge for the whole thing.

It’s a 3 bet pot so the other guy should be weighted toward a lot of overpairs and made hands as opposed to missed draws. In general you shouldn’t be playing the top of your range as a bluff catcher, especially when you don’t block V’s value and when V has a lot of hands that can call you down. A good example of when to check raise then check would be like when Linus check raised KQ on like Q84 then checked after turning a K. It’s a line I’m sure you would see Pio or a good player take at a low frequency and on its own it proves nothing but when he always jams here when the other guy has a hand and always checks when the other guy has air it gets very suspicious very quickly.

you would think because they said it was investigated and there is no evidence. So if he was to be cheating the the state should come in a pull the gaming license. If he is proven to be cheating then you would want them to go over every hand you played and reimburse for every pot he won from you.
Now it just isn't Joey I bringing this up but now detective Doug is on the case too.
If you were as good as this wouldn't you be playing in the middle limits and not 1/3?

You quite often see Justin hanging around the background.

Would be interesting how often he is walking around during the no phone/headphones in the cap streams, as clearly he would need to be in some back room somewhere to convey the info.

The “there’s no evidence for a legal case” argument is silly. What do you call all these videos? This is why we allow expert witnesses in trials. It would certainly take some doing, but you show videos in a courtroom of many crazy hands and get a professional to testify why these plays are bad and an expert or two to churn out some graphs (some of which has already been done here for free) and quantify just how lucky he would have to be to explain his winrate and never being wrong at showdown, etc. I think there’s actually a ton more physical evidence here than in most cases. You have the entire crime on tape! Hours and hours of it!

And this doesn’t even assume that there’s other evidence that the authorities could obtain, which there surely is, as other people have mentioned. Bank records, cell phone call logs, text messages, all the circumstantial evidence re: his background with rfid or whatever his business was and his relationship with all the Stones folks.

I used the data from alecspade/js84;s posts and then checked which seats he was in using the stone's youtube channel to see which seat he was in for that day:

Here's the results:

Seems like seat 2 is the most favorable seat to get the least amount of airtime from the above camera angle:

**I couldn't find mike in two of the sessions from alec/js84's post so this is the results after 67 of the alleged 69 sessions mike played.
Nice catch!

I sort of noticed this, but I guess it didn't click to me at the time. Him sitting in seats 1 and 2 so much actually helped me, however. One of the full table views is looks like the camera is behind seats 6 and 7 (basically the opposite of the picture above). That is a one of the camera views they would use between hands or before the flop. It was easy to see his chip stack, and his chip stack change, when that camera angle was on display. Him being in seat 1 and 2 was good and made my research faster.

There is absolutely already enough evidence to win a civil case and more evidence will come once you get to discovery and get his phone records and tax records. The standard in a civil case is more probable than not, i.e. greater than 50% that he did it. People have absolutely also been convicted of crimes with less evidence than exists here. Just look at the amount of people who are on death row even and get exonerated later. Plus most cases, something like 90-95%, don’t go to trial, he would likely take a plea deal if he knows he is guilty.

This, exactly. In court an expert witness can testify as to his/her opinion as opposed to a normal witness who can only testify to facts. A couple of good expert witnesses breaking down the hands should be able to sway a jury of average competence / intelligence, and some physical supporting evidence would make it a very solid case.
