But there's not.

Other than Stones, Postle will likely be able to play pretty much anywhere he wants at places that are open. I doubt he even gets one word said to him at the table.
Clearly we disagree. I think it's PPPPoker App onward for this lad where he can remain anonymous.

No. It's how The Rona gets passed on.

If the owner doesn't make the victims whole I would loosely regard him as a poker cheat.

There are casinos all across the country that would happily take his business. He has such a generic look that he could easily disguise himself but it's really not necessary.

Well, that is pure speculation. And I doubt Stones would let him play again and Justin back in. Live at The Bike said on air he'd not be able to play there. So, there's 2 spots in Cali where he cannot walk in. Disguises stopped working 1978 Burt Reynolds' movies as well.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

It's not pure speculation. I've played with murderers, child molesters, guys banned from the WSOP, guys not allowed to set foot in Vegas casinos, guys who have been busted team playing in the room they continue to play in, guys who have stolen hundreds of dollars in chips right off other players stacks (both guys playing in the game and guys walking by). A lot of poker rooms don't give a damn as long as you aren't a complete ass at the table (and most of those jackasses are still at the table too).

Regarding disguises I more meant for the other players, but even that won't be necessary as poker players have a short memory, are too scared to speak up, plus isn't Mike a bit of a bullshitter anyways?

It is more +EV for someone to cheat a game or scam a player then it is to try and learn then game and play within your bankroll.
+EV in term of short term (and maybe long term) $
Not +EV for life if you have any self esteem/self worth

Sure the place where he committed the crime and another live stream game that obviously would be bad if they allowed him on.

Those are 2 very specific instances.

Has no bearing on the fact he's going to be able to play pretty much anywhere else he wants.

Hell he could probably even play at the Bike as long as it's not the streamed game.

You're saying that this is pure speculation, but what about your claim that every casino is not going to let him play? That's not pure speculation?

If we could wager on it I would and you'd be a huge dog.

Okay. Well, I know of 2 poker rooms where he will not be playing. Maybe you're right. and all the others around the world will let him in with free parking and buffalo wings included. Maybe you're wrong. Time will tell when China Flu thing passes by.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

There are angle shooters, colluders who get caught at the borgata and banned. Then they play at Parx, they get caught for the same stuff there, then they go to sugarhouse. They get caught there you don't see them for a year until you travel to Florida then you see them there. Etc Etc.

Unless they are cheating the casino. The casinos don't care too much. At least a 95% chance he would no problems playing any WSOP event. Just like Russ Hamilton, Chris Furgeson, Chino Rheem.. list goes on forever.

The only one stopping him from playing anywhere is Mike himself and maybe a cohort who threatens to come clean if he doesn't stay out of the limelight.

Good points. I accept that.

Thing is - when Justin was out of town and tech help was unavailable, he was just a reg with no great poker skill at all - day job required. So, I doubt we will see him on TV any time soon with cards in hands.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

Its possible the mistake was to go after Kings.

They were forced to defend because it could have involved multiple millions of dollars.

Is Justin still employed by Kings?

If they think he is 100% innocent then clearly he should still be working there?

You have to think the money was split multiple ways so I'm guessing it wasn't worth it if you figure the opportunity costs.

Any internet background checks on either party will reveal all the videos and articles on the incident.

I don't see any winners in this.

Another black eye for Poker.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

You know **** the judge, **** King's, **** Justin!

I am so tired of these ****ing scumbags getting off with no penalty at all! What does this say about future players getting cheated out of money? But glad Borgata and its high powered lawyers and gigantic influence was able to prevail over Ivey, who found a legit advantage over the house(about time) and won a large sum of money. Nope good old Borgata of course gets rewarded but the little guy and gal gets screwed over once again. And as of now Kings and Justin are off the hook. It's a ****ing disgrace.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

From my reading of the pokernews article it seems that the case was largely dismissed because of a poorly-planned lawsuit / overall strategy.

Though it still does seem like ca grants extraordinary protections to gambling establishments, and fighting for damages was going to be an uphill battle.

Suing to force an investigation or compel stones to produce specific evidence, might have been more effective and increased the chances of voluntary settlements from stones.

This plus infinity!

I still shake my head when I think about Chino at the final table at PCA and nobody on the announcing team said 1 word about his scam history. They made him seem like he is a poker ambassador. That guy has cheated or tried to cheat nearly every notable pro and semi pro out of money but at the end of the day nobody gives a ****. And his best buddy Mizrachi imo is complicit because Chino uses his name to get money and when it gets back to Mizrachi he laughs about it and says he can't do anything. Just 1 of many scumbags in this community.

Watch Postle lay low for a few months and then when things start to get back to normal he'll appear and play and nothing will happen. Of course.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

we watched a man with the compassion and maturity of a 12 year old not be held accountable today.
BUT, he claims he is innocent and I say WHO ARE WE TO DISAGREE!!
I OBVIOUSLY AM WRONG, MIKE IS A GOD!!

I, for one, am excited at the thought of casinos reopening. I can't wait to see Mike Postle CRUSHING live poker again. I am sure that he will be a multi millionaire in no time considering HE IS JUST THAT GOOD. we should not hold this man back from blessing us with his talent of looking at his crotch to see what his next move should be. sure he might not have the technical staff at stones to back him up in his super using ways anymore BUT he is good enough to not need them. i am sure in the coming months he will prove us all wrong by having a solid 75% VPIP and a 98% win rate to show the GOD that he is.

It is good that you started what ended up bringing the scheme to an end, that is true. Even though nothing will be given back, he won't be able to do this again which saves future victims.
