You need to understand that everything you do under the poker table relays information.

People do all kinds of stupid stuff for money. you say "small cash game." these $5/5 games play like $5/10+. Very common for average stack to be $3k+. you think some guy working part-time for the tech crew for a poker room wouldnt like to pocket a few grand a month? if true, this guy is playing twice a week, and crushing it for $3k+ every week. getting a chunk of $12k when you don't have much money isn't a small amount of money.

the need for money makes people do stupid things and make bad decisions.
Ya, some people kill people for like $5,000. And people cheat at play money chess and other similar games just to win because they're competitive.

A decent player could just play normally and then "take a look" at his opponents cards 2-3 times per session in some big spots and get a massive winrate boost without raising much suspicion. I really hope the way he cheated will be dissected and made public, so that appropriate measures can be taken to prevent that.
I think it's ego as much as greed too. He probably loves the whole show being about him and everyone thinking he's a crusher when he actually couldn't win big since the boom. If you just nit it up everyone just thinks you run good.

3 hands all on paired boards:

Eights full < Tens full just calls river with stacks very shallow, so no chance of a jam.

NF < straightflush just calls ( i dont remember stacks )

85 > 35 on 467 paired board, put the raise in on river where both are still very deep. Even from exploitative standpoint hands 1 and 3 completely contradict one another, and I dont believe the RFID error bs

On rivers he doesn't just hero when hes ahead, he habitually raises in spots where he can be heroed. I understand how turning a hand into a bluff works, but it's just so blatant what hes doing.

Good on everybody digging deep here, and <3 to JI
I was thinking that about these hands. He is weirdly scared of full houses on the river in small pots when behind even though he should almost always be good given action. But goes for a big raise with the 85 when ahead in a similar paired board cooler situation

Don't know if this has been here, but heres Mike calling overbet all-in with AK on board 235JQ with flushdraw. Of course he's right and other player has 86. Painful to watch when losing player is also commentating the hand. Sorry for those guys who have been cheated for year(s).

15 second stare into the crotch. **** eating grin. Disgusting. Feel like he's imagining how much of a poker god he'll look like and all the ass kissing he'll get from the booth while fake tanking.

Grunching on last couple pages but...

We don't know how he's getting the hole card data. If it's some kind of app that's auto sending it could be a long string of text that takes a while to decipher. (It has to tell him seat number, card value and suit for 9 players). It also probably doesn't literally say "seat 1, Kc9d", it may be harder to read than that and may even be in code in case someone got ahold of his phone.

Notice he keeps looking at his phone/crotch all throughout the hands that he plays.

My point is he may not know everyone's hand preflop especially in multiway situations. I'd certainly happily call a 3bet preflop deepstacked with j3s, even without knowing the cards, if I knew I could play literally perfectly postflop.

Also someone mentioned this may have been a hand with a $100 bb?

great catch - I think this is as close to a "smoking gun" as we're gonna get. the cards have definitely not been turned up yet.

seeing Mike laugh it up afterwards is pretty disgusting

I think the most likely scenario is someone relaying information, BUT is it possible that someone on the inside is marking the deck? It just seems like if someone in production was relaying the information it will be easily discovered and both Postle and the insider will face criminal prosecution.

I am pretty confident that it is a losing play but there are better and more experienced players who are convinced thats the case.

This is so far from the theory and so far from any exploitative play that could be profitable it would be like someone running the 100 meters in 5 seconds.... backwards.... with their shorts round their ankles.

Smug look on his face is so tilting. And yeah can't underplay the ego boost he's clearly getting alongside $100k+ playing 1/3-5/5. His expressions imo suggest he somehow is smelling his own farts about his poker ability despite blatantly cheating ... What a sociopath

Not to put more work on ChicagoJoey but someone needs to analyze his whole session from the one he played here...

Would be a good comparison to see if he has a "partner"

With regards to #1, I mean that's basically what all forensic evidence is. Levels of statistical analysis. i.e. DNA is not 100% foolproof certainty, but the analyst testifies to the statistical likelihood it is the accused's DNA. Granted, the likelihood is usually super high with DNA, and I don't know what level of likelihood a court would stop the proceeding and say "this evidence isn't probative, so I won't admit it." But statistical analyses absolutely can be evidence in a court case (criminal or civil).

The look on Mikes face during the hero call with AK vs 86 on a 235QJ Board was incredible. Literally reminded me of a bad actor in a movie scene conning locals. And then the dude who gets his face incinerated goes into the booth to discuss the hand and says - vs AK that should work in every instance except .0000005% of the time as he can't believe it didn't work.
What a sociopath is right. I would imagine he also cheats on his wife, his taxes and shoplifts when its convenient.

Definitely some softplay with his buddy Frank the tank (and possibly collusion with HK, will need more evidence for that one one).

this was my initial guess too - some system like "1 vibrate = ahead, 2 vibrate = behind, 3 vibrate = bluff" - but some of these hands are so crazy out of line that they only make sense if you know your opponent's exact hole cards

lmao that they're still going with the "he's just great at live reads" defense - I've gotten tells that an opponent might be strong or weak but I've never picked up "he's got Ace Queen suited" from an opponent before

Watching more of the streams now and the guy is either Stu Ungar, Superman and Einstein rolled into one or there is something iffy going in.

think its just as simple as reading the cards off his phone, you can get those privacy screen covers you can only see by looking into them directly.

p/l and vpip when justin bro was in vegas would be good

It seems like from june 2019 onwards Mike has stopped playing completely ridiculous. That is just my opinion from watching like a dozen of these streams.

Obviously waiting for someone to pop up on here and be like LOOK AT THIS DOOZY.

Are we also to believe a guy crushing this hard for "16 years" doesn't go and play the great cash games in Vegas in the summer? Strange that eh!

His left hand is out of sight under the table most of the time.

There is a Youtube vid Mike Postle Interview with Justin Kuraitis 1-23-2019, interesting viewing.
