Hello All, I am an older member here who rarely posts but enjoys the forums and have played live for over 36 years. This cheating scandal captured my interest for many reasons and after spending the past 12 days reading over 7200 posts and watching hundreds of video clips, I am 100% convinced Postle cheated and had help. I feel the pressure is mounting fast and furious on at least 3 people and its a matter of time before someone buckles and decides to cut a deal. My money is on Justin Kuraitis to crack first and try to cut a deal given all I have learned so far. Just my $.02 on what may happen soon. All opinions are welcome

Sorry for the **** post here but this is so ****ing tilting to watch time and time again. "Here we are with a set, let me check my magic dick to see what it says to do."

Here we are checking the crotch again before making a 3/4 pot bet and taking the pot.

Anyone defending him should be ashamed. He's either cheating or he's awful at poker but winning at a rate that literally nobody should be able to which ironically and shockingly indicates cheating.

Very interesting hearing Mike talk for the first 30 minutes of the stream. He seems less stressed out and more joyful. He goes back in the booth at the 02:25:00 mark. Mike takes a 100 dollar bill out of his pocket and says lets not just giveaway a hoodie i am going to add 100 dollars cash. Lol

At 02:32:00 Postle references mike matusow and how groups of people just run better. Lol this is hilarious. Someone send this to Joey

Capitol also runs a lot of television and radio ads in the area, maybe even more than Thunder Valley.

Stones has the best of everything: it's clean and non-smoking (a huge deal for me), it's in a decent location (TV and Cache are way out of town), damn good food (I would go just for that if I lived closer), with an extremely friendly staff and player base. This is why this entire saga is so disappointing to me.

But with all of those advantages, Stones didn't seem to gain much footing, perhaps because they didn't do the ad buys that TV, Cache and Capitol did.

Instead, running the live stream put them on the map. I had friends who don't play poker and who only casually follow it suddenly talking about it. (I'll admit I had never heard of the place until someone asked me if they might ever see me playing on the stream.) Having a live stream also seemed to draw more high-profile players in town, and eventually landed them promotions like PokerStars Platinum Pass events.
And they drew people like Chris Moneymaker and Lon McEachern to a casino in Sacramento!

Obviously we shouldn't pretend that these streams were like WSOP broadcasts or something, but it downplays it way way too much to say "there were only 200 people watching" or something. These streams helped Stones a lot.

On the blue being found on the rando phone person walking by (and, actually, on other things as well).

Remember the sheer volume of variables and moments we're looking at. It is also *perfectly possible* that person has nothing to do with what's happening.

One error with conspiracy theories is they try to take account of *every* detail. Reality tends to point at things being much less complicated, and takes into account sheer coincidence.

Also, could it be argued that Mike Postle was already a public figure for going on the Stones Live Stream? I mean, its essentially tv, even though it avged only 100 viewers live, many more saw "previous episodes", if you will. He was easily "the star" of the show being the most popular, especially with the commentators, and had, by far, the dankest of memes.
He's a limited purpose public figure as to whatever is going on in Stones Live Poker.

But defamation actions and actions of third parties can't make you a public figure (except perhaps in very rare circumstances). You have to voluntarily inject yourself into a public discussion or event of some sort.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

After my **** post above, I found a pretty ****ing indictable hand:
Mike limps 55 after a limp, Dave from the sb jams AJs for 21.5bbs ($430), UTG calls 67s, Mike flats which is ridiculous in itself but postflop:

Harlan bets $300 into a dry side pot of 9s9x2s and Mike calls
Harlan bets $700 on a Tx turn and Mike calls
8s otr and it goes x/x

Just a shame a blank didn't come otr. Note the laughs when Harlan checks to him. Also the same fake hand waving gesture from Doug's video in the 72o vs. JJ hand. Despicable.
I beg any Mike supporter to defend this play pre, otf, and ott. Remember this is the guy folding top pair ott to a half pot bet.

Yea, what you're talking about is called confirmation bias. I think we need to be careful of this, but I also think we are all collectively smart enough to not fall into it while exploring possibilities. It's not like we are flat earthers who ignore evidence and distort facts to support our theories, essentially flipping the scientific method on its head. Of course, we do get a couple godeeps and washoes in the thread to derail us from time to time.

I didn't realise the Live Stream went that far back. So I just checked a couple of timelines for key players (and came across something pretty amusing....)

Taylor has been involved in Stones Live since at least Jan 30 2017 (and played there some months before). Had his own non-poker Twitch stream previous to this.

Lance, according to his LinkedIn, became Exec Producer in Sep 2017, having been a Stones dealer since 2016. He left the stream in April 2019, but continued to work at Stones (haven't seen a reason for this as yet).

The lead live tech stated he's been "on the Live Team since the first day" so 2015?

Justin joined Stones as TD late 2013/early 2014. He was previously TD at Casino Royale, Sacramento. Royale was shut down in Nov 2014 for failing to pay out nearly $60k in winnings.

So here's the amusing bit... In this post Justin says he uncovered a player cheating in tournament (another poster suggests it was to do with removing Tourney chips).

He states in the post "I was the TD that caught the cheating player. Management was presented with the evidence and initially agreed with the assessment that the cheating player should be removed until it was over-ridden by the owner."

Also, the same year Royale was shut down there was a "bitter legal dispute" between the owners. Here's an local news article about it - "allegations of fraud, document shredding and using casino funds for personal use".

The part owner getting sued was James Kouretas. Must be a coincidence he shares a similar surname to Justin Kuraitis.

At some point he becomes a public figure I would assume. Trying to figure out what the point is. Clearly, if Veronica made him 'infamous' as a public person, she doesn't get to cite as a defense that MP is a public figure if she made him a public figure through her accuastions.

I'm curious because it seems people should have some protection against these kinds of accuastions (when they are not true) when they are unwillilingly thrust into the national spotlight.

I don't know if being slightly famous on a youtube channel with a few hundred views makes you a public figure already or not.

Around the 1:00:00 mark.

The commentary was also absolutely disgusting. The way JFK handles himself makes it so so so likely he is in on it.

Imagine if everyone collectively billed the DOJ for all the analytical work done. Computer coding by blue screen guy. And free law advice/ private investigators the bill would be mid 6 figures by now. Still can't believe i actually read it all, no clue why im so intrigued by it. One thing i can tell you all definitively I wish i didnt have to look at Mike pusstool(should for ever been known as) good combination of puss stool and tool.

Nothing. Everyone’s losing here. Stones. Mike, Veronica, Justin, the people doing tons of research spending their time. Everyone has lost in this shitty situation. We are just trying to clean up the mess and clean out cheating a corruption because the poker community is self-policing.

Remember that. So much time and energy has been spent, many reputations have gone on the line over this.

People aren’t just splashing around to tear a guy down with zero to gain while doing it because he did nothing wrong. Or because everyone is just a jealous hater as Mike himself has floated

Before you think contrarian is best or stating your basic ***** opinion must be acknowledged, think about what I said above, first.
Dude all those people are simply HATERS. Postle is clearly better at PLO then Joey despite Joey suggesting he’s a good PLO player. Doug was once a very good HUNL player, but correct me if I’m wrong, one thing he never did, was CRUSH Tom Dwan HU. Could be some resentment there from Doug that Mike pretty much destroyed Dwan to the point where Dwan has to leave the public eye. Mikes also the biggest winner in the history of UB, which is likely in the 10 million range, considering Prahlad won over 7...so you can see why a lot of people would be jealous. And Veronica is jealous because she’s lucky enough to live in the same city as the God, and from what I gather, EVERYONE in Sacramento rightfully praises Mike P as the GOAT, so I can see how others might eventually get tired of this. It’s also pretty telling Mike challenged Doug to 100 matches HU and Doug seemed terrified and quickly declined. I’m glad Mike, who really went out of his way to keep a low profile since he’s a single father (did you know that?), is ready to let everyone know he’s one of the best players in the world and said he’d be playing anywhere and everyone once these allegations get cleared up. He’s 100,000% innocent.

I'm not sure if your post is satire or not because it's so laughable and the fact that Joey said something to the effect of "he's ****ing terrible at PLO" when he thought Postle was gonna challenge him to HU on the Matusow podcast/Joey's live stream.

True - one would hope he didn't have access, but they are all buddies so he could have asked just for access - complain the normal guest wifi wasn't good enough etc.

Whoever is doing discovery will get to see their firewall logs /configs and will know.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

First post on 2+2!

My thoughts after a week of going through videos is that obviously this guy Mike is cheating! So many examples of outrageous decision making (but somehow correct).

Justin also seems very suspicious and after watching Veronica on Joeys podcast last night, it appears even more likely that he was involved. As Veronica mentions he almost goes out of his way to sell Mike P as a unconventional, god like player. And when you add the sham investigation it is more fuel to the fire pointing towards this guy! On another thought, I wonder if Mike and Justin have communicated with each other post accusations?

Its amazing to see this thread grow had to get my two cents in! Cant wait to see how this develops and hopefully justice will be done!
