And especially when people used to say he is such a crusher. Would be interesting what people thought of him who played with him. Maybe in the even so far back as in in ultimat bet days. Didnt gus hanson swing up and down a few million in one day? He said he played at UB as the biggest winner. So he must have played the enbosses. What if we had hand histories? Maaaaan I get the popcorn.. relaaax everyone this is getting interesting..

Maan if I was Mike I would get myself backed for the 100ks or 50ks why would he cheat for such a small amount that's what I don't get. I guess I have to watch 5h of live feed now.

Pls don't say UB days are over I know that. Just would be interesting.
He cannot and will not get backed for higher stakes. There is a reason he/your friend never played high stakes. At some point in time, his monkey action on the river would have been called by people that could afford it. He would then be pressed regularly and eventually questioned. The jig would have been up.

Good winning players have people approach them for stakes. They also speak to them and it is at that point your friend would have proven he is not a crusher or even top end skilled. His discussion, aka excuses, of action/s he took is nonsense. The guy is a fraud and you're a putz for continuing his charade.

Knowledgeable poker players would not make the comments you do on this topic. Your "avid poker player" claim is a fugazi since you only joined after this thread existed and have nothing to say aside from defending a cheater.

1:01:28(https://youtu.be/1vlmz8T86DQ?t=3688)

Justin makes a VERY interesting bet here with the other commentator (This is one of mikes early streams shortly after he first started to cheat btw). Is this a coincidence that Justin knows this early in mikes cheating expedition that he would have made a REDICULOUS hero call on the river with pocket 5s vs an all in on 9 9 2 T 8 ?. This simply can't be a coincidence.

Justin bets with the other commentator that assuming Harlan didnt have a flush Mike would of 100% hero called Dave o's shove on the river. This is an unbelievable assumption by Justin if you watch the hand and honestly its a VERY big sign he knows about Mike. Mike is blatantly cheating in broad daylight in this stream early in his cheating days in front of the man who owns the casino while he is on commentary... I mean common there is no way Justin isnt in on this.

1:10:55 (https://youtu.be/1vlmz8T86DQ?t=4255)
Justin cant wait any longer to get a response from Mike so he calls mike LIVE and asks him about the hand (isnt that against the rules?). The response going from here is priceless. This needs to be seen by Doug or Joey or anyone that can get this out there.

The major flaw I see with this theory is that would mean Justin is on the up-and-up. And Justin said they did security audits every 3 months. I don't know how some sort of third party access would've gotten passed those.

For sure, I'd honestly be surprised if even 100 people managed that in the USA last year. If they did, it's only really possible because of the increase in private games and 5/10+ really not running regularly in many places anymore.

Not sure, but a willing conspirator could easily install a remote viewing software one time and never get involved again assuming no one found out. I'm an Occam's Razor fan and the simplicity of a program that would allow remote access satisfies all scenarios.

With that said, I want to be wrong and somehow Postle is legit, but the evidence is just mountainous.

Just saying the guy probably doesn't have a lot in assets which I would guess is accurate.

He didn't play that much before he started cheating. Once he had the live stream cheat, he played a ton.
I agree with you that I don't ACTUALLY believe him when he makes these statements about not being able to move.

However, I think Postle's take on this may actually be the only credible thing that he has said thus far since this scandal broke. Even if we give him credit for his decision and rationale for not playing bigger or in other locations it doesn't hold a candle to the mountains of information and analysis concluding that he was scamming people out of money.

Sure, Postle, I'll give you credit that you wanted to stay where you live and play in the games you have been playing. I'll give you credit that you want to stay close to family and that you have made a life you do not want to leave or put on hold by playing games elsewhere. That is totally your prerogative and I think it is a fair argument and I cannot attest to the integrity of something only you know internally.

But everything else points to you cheating...

If they can scan RFID from distance, all they need is the good key to decrypt the data, so it wouldn't been so hard... The keys on the table could be enough.

Is it me or there is a guy aiming for the girl's card with his cell phone the first time Postle cheated? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aGD4FYX9NA&t=815s

Seriously, look at that... I'm freaked out... If youcan read the RFID from distance, this is probably what Postle and his team is doing...

Probably those security audits were more likely to make sure none of the employees are stealing from the casino, and the casino is getting all the rake it is supposed to.

When people are allowed to store their backpacks in the peek room and the door isn't even locked I seriously doubt any attention is paid to the security of the live stream table.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

To the newbs who still think the commentators were in on it...
I know they appear fawning at times, but if any of the main commentators were in on the cheating, don't you think they would have been less sensationalist, so as not to draw attention to ridiculous hands? In some spots they literally scream things like "Don't do it!" or "I can't believe he's making this play!", or they congratulate people for making sick hero-calls when Postle bluffs.
Watch the controversial hand vs T-bone again: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/365129696?t=02h33m20s
They give T-bone the "OMG" meme, because they think his bluff is so sick. It initially doesn't even occur to them that Postle will re-bluff. Note that one commentator yells to the man in the editing booth "Does he have 89? Taylor, does he have 89?" and the other soon adds "Just give T-bone the money."
Both guys seem quite deflated when the graphics changed and the pot was eventually pushed to Postle.

FWIW, even the twitch chatters thought something was up. Someone wrote "I declare shenanigans".

No one is really doing a full check on all the players in the game...I don't think.

Yeah, I was thinking about asking that...lol

What's your experience with closing arguments as the prosecutor in a criminal case? Do you mind sharing a ballpark time frame or range on how long they would typically go?
If you play 2-3x or more in a room every week you know who is crushing, who is losing, who is on a downswing etc. This shouldn't have to be explained to someone who claimed they won 200bb/hr over 250+ hours (which again, lol).

Arty, that they act like WWE commentators not believing it's all rigged doesn't really do much for that theory imo.

It has been stated by people who actually KNOW that the radius is a mere few inches.... so nothing can be done "from distance...

I don't know if anyone played the forum game Werewolf on here back in the day, or currently does, but that's what this situation reminds me of lol. We have to figure out the wolves from the sheep. Those games required hours and hours of pouring over information and dissecting every little comment and oddity.

No, public outrage is all we have and all we can put 100% confidence in. What Joey and the poker community is doing is so ****ing important. It is so ****ing easy to just look the other way, but that will just hurt poker more than whatever these dinosaurs of the industry say. Mike Postle being caught on stream for cheating at poker might be bad in the short run, but it's good in the long run bc we are upholding its integrity. If Mike Postle were found innocent, that would be the real end for poker.

Export configuration. Wipe drive. Reinstall windows and drivers from OEM DVD. Reinstall application. Reconfigure and re-apply exported configuration.

FBI: "Hey, why is the install on this machine fresh?"

JFK: "We thought we might have had a backdoor or a trojan, so we wiped it and re-installed everything."

FBI: "You might have destroyed evidence! What were you thinking?"

JFK: "Oh, sorry, we though we had a virus. On a critical machine like this it is SOP to re-install."

FBI: "Grrrrr."
Go on Westlaw, search "child pornography" /200 wipe! /50 "hard drive".

Let me know the results you find.

"Wiping" hard drives (1) takes time, (2) is easy to detect, and (3) leaves recoverable files.

Numerous defendants have been convicted after trying to wipe hard drives.

(And that assumes that they can get into administrator mode, while nobody else is in the physical presence of the computer, with the surveillance cameras running (we are talking about a casino!).)
