I believe somewhere on the thread I posted about this - the commentators even talk about him standing up here reacting to a football game.

This thread is 24/7!

Do we have enough to prosecute this guy yet?

Can we get more professional players for a jury?

Time will surely tell us everything.....

He would definitely be convicted by a jury of his peers -- professional poker players. I kind of doubt he will be prosecuted in real life. Very few have gone to jail for cheating at poker.

Guys guys, lay off the commentators, it's like we are running out of stuff on MP so let's attack the commentators, they are cheesy yes, but that's not the point of this thread.

Mike Postle whatever season it is he will steal off 'friends'

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=q_Dza9Z8LMo

Stones Christmas stream, where all the regulars dress up in Xmas outfits, & Mike thieves off them. Look at the graphic at 4.31.46 his VPIP is 73% Another massive win, $10k ish.

Least he's adaptable he can stuff both baseball hats & santa hats with devices.

As others have said, I wish someone would have pulled that stuffed hat off him while he was playing. Outrageous, he got away with this BS for so long.

Guys can we all agree that Mike Postle is the "Little Finger" of the poker world? (Game of Thrones reference)

these posts just need to stop. He will not be convicted based on any poker theory.

He will be convicted for using a device to see cards in a licensed CA Card Club. That is a crime in the State of CA.

That crime is outside the authority of the GCCB. They can only take action on the licensed club and licensed employees per their Charter.

If they find evidence of a crime, they will turn that over to another dept within CA DOJ for prosecution. Given all the media attention this has gotten CGCB will not just let this go. They have egg all over their face.

Someone(s) is going to jail.

It’s sad how this thread went from a interesting investigation to a display of logical fallacies and people being oblivious to the advantage of hindsight.

If 200+ hours of poker is closely being watched unlikely things are supposed to happen. You’ve only got a point when there are many instances of this.

Just noticed Justin has his youtube channel wiped clean. He had a bunch of videos on there a day or two ago. Why hide something if you have nothing to hide?
How weird that someone would delete videos in which they are openly talking about their addiction when these are being mocked. What possible reason could there be. Must be in on the cheating! .

Am I wrong? How does mike get away with this for over a full year probably over a thousand hours of streamed gameplay without the guys whos job is LITERALLY to study my gameplay live for everyone to see not suspecting anything. I understand there is a reasonable chance that they are innocent but claiming they are not even suspicious is just delusional plain and simple.
It’s good that you aren’t Mike Postle because you’d have been caught much earlier. The more people involved the more likely someone would have spilled the beans. Remember that before someone is involved you have to ask them to get involved, which is a huge risk on itself.

Their job isn’t to study people’s gameplay, their job is to have some light talk to make watching unedited poker bearable (if that is even possible). It’s nice to have some stories if you have to talk for hours and having the next poker prodigy on your table makes for a good one. That supernatural capabilities are attributed towards certain players happens during poker commentary all the time.

Most players that collectively lost over 200.000 didn’t see anything suspicious. Are they suspect now too? Also Veronica who started all this was fully expecting Mike to make incredible plays and it took her a long time to realize what’s really going on. She even brought friends to the show that ended up losing a lot against Mike. I hope we can agree she’s not suspect. Yet she did the same thing as the other commentators for months. When you or I would be watching an episode without an investigative eye we’d probably see a great player and/or weird plays that happened to work out as well. If you think you’re any better than the thousands of people that have watched and didn’t notice anything wrong odds are you think too highly of yourself.

You know this is a discussion forum right? Minority opinions are allowed and if you’re offended by them you shouldn’t be here. Besides that the majority of people have an IQ below 101 so I don’t see how the majority opinion is all that relevant.

It’s funny how thousands of people can watch footage and don’t see anything suspicious, and then when people start looking for it there are ghosts everywhere. ‘Clip that’ is said thousands of times on Twitch each day. :

W/ regards to the commentators - I think it is very likely it will be found one or more commentators had knowledge or were involved in what was happening.

I don't think we can find anything by talking about how bad or good they are at poker but I have a feeling something will come to light.

So when he gets interviewed in the booth, it strikes me as odd that such a winning player cannot talk intelligently about his play, like decent hand analysis/ fundamentals..and his justification for making a play is always some off the wall stuff. If this is how hes played long term there's no way he could sustain positive results?? A lot of these hands make no sense when you put your opponent on a specific range. I like the analysis when Veronica is in the booth and she is so baffled by his lay down she keeps repeating herself about how it's not possible. I feel bad for the guy, like if you're gonna go down with a fight ok.. or if you are a god that's fine too.. but if the truth comes out you had an edge considered as cheating.. just man up, pay back.. and move on, lifes too short as it is ya know.

Re: Mike Postle cheating allegations (FAQ in first post)

Here is a rare clip of a bomb pot played with table chatter completely on. Mike makes an odd comment about how the bomb pot straddle is "hiding in plain site." Also listen at the end how he is upset in regard to his current sports betting and that he "lost his Denver win total for the year." That is evidence he bets sports (not that that means too much but it is what it is)

Mike is in seat 2. Notice how the camera is just high enough to pretty much cover anything mike ever does. I really want us to focus on the camera man and these angles going forward. Seat 2 is just such a good position for Mike to be in when cheating. After watching footage for awhile I cant get past the Idea that the man controlling the camera is in on it. anyway enjoy the table chatter and Mike taking some good glances at his Christmas nutsack THAT GRINCH.

Well he plays 1/3 5/5 games at local casino, he might be a winning player there, maybe. But the level is like nl5 online, so of course he doesn't have any clue about winning poker strategy in 2019. Watching interview with Matusow he seems to be stuck at 2005 strategies and memories. Basically playing same game today and haven't studied a bit. I bet he has been a struggling player for years now, then managed to find a way to cheat and become this cocky character again.

Maybe it's enough to get Doug to dust the gloves off and get back on the felt. Or get this guy to play libratus. Poker god vs Libratus

Based on the graphics change hand, it is pretty much confirmed he had at least 1 accomplice. And given how there was a lot of bouncing between roles in commentating one night and being in production the next night it is pretty likely that the accomplice was a commentator at some point.

But I don't think the constant praise of Postle and all the memes were being done by people in the know. If anything, wouldn't they be downplaying how great he was? They had a player making insanely good moves all the time and they were hyping him up trying to make good twitch clips and grow the stream.

This is pretty crazy. Could there be any other reason for talking to anyone in the booth like that?

He looks so uncomfortable beforehand too, as if he didn't want to speak directly into the camera, but had to.

I think I'm a pretty good lip reader too, and it looks very much like he's saying "I can't hear my cards"

One might think that was there strategy and in retrospect I imagine they chose this one but I think they went with a different option or were told to go with a different option. I think it's clear these aren't top tier strategists - they wouldn't have gotten caught if they were.

I think they actually did downplay this guy in a weird way - I never heard of him until this happened when he has made some of the sickest bluffs in the game. If I was marketing this guy, everyone in poker would have known who he was and would be must see live stream TV.

Calling all 2plus2 private investigators...

Found another shot of Mike's phone when leaving the table. What app is he using here? Its a pretty clear shot. Is that just the normal twitch app?
Warning: When viewing this clip it is recommended to use .25 speed or go frame by frame. Enjoy!

I've seen this speculation a lot.

I agree with making sure not to overlook obvious innocent explanations for shady-looking things Mike does.

But there is no TV in the direction Mike is looking and gesturing. Well, there are the ones above the sign-in desk, but those are dedicated to displaying the bosrd and the jackpot, never sports or anything else.
