All indications are that Mike Postle has always done very well with the ladies and is considered easy on the eyes. The actor portraying him needs to be like George Clooney but younger. I could foresee multiple beautiful actresses portraying the females in this story (with multiple underlying Postle love ties in the film).

In real life, I doubt if there was any "love" between Veronica, Mike and Justin. ("Hate" and "resentment" might be two better words to describe what transpired between these three people ...)

Hollywood being Hollywood, if this saga is turned into a movie project - where the goal is to get bodies into seats and make as much money as possible - they'll play this as a "Is he guilty [of cheating] or innocent and this is all a big misunderstanding" type of story. To generate controversy (and ticket sales) they'll want to play it as if there is actual doubt as to whether or not MP is a scammer and a thief. For poker players, it's plain as day that MP is a cheat - and JFK was [more likely than not] involved in the scam, but any movie portrayal of this will try to make it appear as if there's real doubt and uncertainty.

Since the number of people outside of the poker community who actually give a crap about this is very limited, I doubt if any screenwriter will be successful in pitching this idea to a studio executive who has the power to greenlight such a project; but what do I know?

Sounds good to me. I suppose JFK is more the George Clooney type as Postle is more of a rough and rugged high testosterone alpha male.

Facially, Koechner is a damn good call, but NewAcct is right: way too tall. I don't have a great handle on Postle's exact height, but based on the only photo I have of him standing up, he's pretty much the same height as Alisha and only a few inches taller than Veronica. My guess is that he's pretty short, maybe in the 5-8 or 5-9 range. Is there a third Corddry brother? If you blended Nate and Rob, you'd have a pretty good match.

I had a couple of other actors in mind for Postle but they all were way too tall: David Morse and John Carroll Lynch. The other hard part is that everyone's too old. Postle is maybe in his early 40s. If I had to find someone of the right age and stature, then I'm thinking Ben Foster:



After that, consider James McAvoy, one of the Masterson brothers or even Ryan Phillippe. Then hire whoever transformed Christian Bale into Dick Cheney.

The problem is that we'll get a slickly produced version with Eric Bana (Lucky You) as JFK, Bret Harrison (Deal) as Postle, Dominique Swain (All-In) as Veronica and Michael Imperioli (High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story) as Verstandig.

According to the docket, Postle crawled out from under his rock long enough to dismiss his defamation claims on April 1 and the judge ruled the anti-slap motions were now moot. Hearing for attorney fees is scheduled for mid May.

Oh, can't forget we are still awaiting the results of that totally thorough and totally independent second investigation from Stones!
