Postle having worked as a prop player elsewhere, and his comments in the Matusow interview about how JFK would approach him and say "your hand of the night is 54o ...", "you're going to Moneymaker the Moneymaker" etc., would seem to give some credibility to the argument that a lot of this was fake and a lot of these players were props.

I'm still leaning that way pretty heavily... I think it was mostly all staged, with some exceptions where people did get cheated. And I think maybe it started innocently ("we're going to put on a show"), and eventually turned bad ("hey, let's let this guy buy in with real money and let him think it's all real...").

That's probably the best outcome we could hope for, too!

It absolutely was not staged, but that would almost certainly run afoul of gambling laws as well FWIW. Stones would absolutely lose their license over such.

I don't think the guy who folded the 2nd nuts is doing anything. However, the comments on this video indicate a lot people think that.

David Tuchman mentioned in his podcast how he recorded a hand on his phone right after a stream ended where Postle folded QQ to a 5-bet by JJ. He said he'd post it but I haven't seen it. As he mentions, it's another piece of proof of how differently Postle played on (perfectly) vs off (incorrectly) stream.

Incredible fold, but notice how you can tell he's actually agonizing over the decision, if light-heartedly, instead of just directly laughing in his opponent's face as Postle does. The difference is actually night and day

Not even gonna get deep into the details of the hand or the opponent, would get too long. But this incredibly sick fold with the 2nd nuts (probably one of the sickest plays Garrett's made in his life) literally makes much more sense than dozens and dozens of plays Postle made within a year and a half on stream.

I'd give it a couple of months for it to even get going. I'm not sure they've even served everyone with the summons and complaint. Once a defendant is served with the summons and complaint they have 21 days to file an answer to the complaint or move to dismiss on various procedural grounds. This is just the very initial stage of the litigation. It will develop over the next couple of years (if it's not settled beforehand).

I am sure there will be a couple more scandals to talk about while we wait.
