Matusow is a fool, no doubt, but he accomplished something with his interview just by getting Postle to talk. It wasn't intentional, and it seems that he now wants to accept credit as if it was his plan all along, but I'm glad that interview took place.

I know you are joking, but just in case anyone is unclear.

I am not giving legal advice in this thread. I am simply opining about what has transpired and what has been filed.

Anyone who has actually been injured by Mr. Postle needs to speak to a civil litigator who can give you independent advice as to how to proceed.

California Gaming DOJ (might be off by one word), that's what he told me at 8am this morning. Only question he would answer from me is if Mike Postle had been arrested and answer was no. I've been in touch with them for 5 days, have the lead investigator's private email to send stuff to.

Pretty sure Postle had someone reach out to Matusow. Postle might as well have released a 2 hour vlog of him rambling by himself. Matusow brought nothing to the table.

Anthony and Postle have both 43o. Anthony bets flop and Postle folds.
You do realize postle has to make plays that “make sense”. He cant be completely blatant with his cheating even though he is. Its why he calls the flop with QQ against KK on a J 7 2 board. He cant make it super obvious. It strokes his ego too.

I think everyone in NVG should be part of a class action suit against MP for all the pain and suffering he is making us go through.

For those interested in the legal proceedings, I had the pleasure of interviewing the plaintiffs' lawyer Mac VerStandig today.

Passivebetter isn't your standard internet troll but they are just your standard epic NVG thread troll who appears and makes contrarian statements and backs them with illogical explanations and then just revels in rustling jimmies by continuing to argue stubbornly forever

It is not currently a class action and the engagement letter says 46% of the top to Vander Law firm. It also talks about travel expenses, hourly rates and many other possible fees. I would like to avoid being a victim twice. Any advice is appreciated
This post struck a nerve and needs a little conversation right? To start with, possible expenses to become a coplaintiff seem a little harsh to all involved and may discourage some from joining. Then looking at 46% off the top to Vander Law Firm along with travel expenses, hourly rates and many other possible fees leaves little left to those truly affected. I would love to know how others feel about this engagement letter offer?

These are some of the reasons I think anyone injured by Postle needs to seek independent legal advice. Indeed, I said upthread that I hope the Plaintiffs' lawyers are advising their clients to do so before joining the suit-- both for these reasons and because there could be potential conflicts with that arise out of the damages claims for the various plaintiffs.

Yeah, that's kinda heavy. I'm suing a county for malicious prosecution and other niceties and they charge 33%. I'm fairly certain that is more difficult and heavier workload

Hello Lawdude and thank you for the reply. You are an valuable asset to this forum and I hope everyone who has been injured by Postle reads all of your posts and understands exactly what you are pointing out before joining the suit.

One thing in the Jonathan Little/Mac Verstandig video that may or may not have been mentioned here is that the phone Mike used for cheating(allegedly) is not Mikes regular phone. Also Mac seems confident that he can get his hands on it.

Granted I haven't read the engagement letter; 46% on a contingent basis seems high. My lawyers usually have a sliding scale for contingency based comp: 25% of an out of court negotiated settlement or 33% of a court award. I've never heard of anything approaching half: although it's possible that might be normal course in the US. That said, my understanding is that most law firms/lawyers rarely take on cases these days on a full contingency basis: full contingent basis is often reserved for very very high profile type cases of the Erin Brokovich variety or going after big pharma and perhaps personal injury.

I feel like Stones would want this to go away. If I had played in a bunch of games with Postle, I'd approach Stones quietly on the side and see if I can just sign something to say I won't sue or join the coplaintiffs. Seems like the best way to get paid - screw all that contingency stuff.

I just want to point out that if you have important information for law enforcement contact them direct rather than using somebody else as a proxy.

Anybody else can do exactly what you did and contact the investigation direct - there is no reason to potentially compromise information by looping somebody in who doesn't provide much value to what you're trying to accomplish (no offense)

The investigative team details should be posted here for anybody who wants to send them info
