This has to be the most known fact since its brought up a million times since 2004. Unless you just got into poker the past two years. Then again I doubt most who just got into poker care about Scotty or Mike.

I feel like Mike's Eigo has gotten bigger over the years.
Perhaps his life, an injury, being on meds for it have effected him mentally some.
The last few interviews I've seen of him, its like he's gotten cockier and more dellusional

That would be my guess as well, given that MM got 33% for 50% of the initial buy-in. Assuming this is true, this just goes to show why never had any money. He basically put up $4,500 for 33% (minus taxes) of a $10,000 buy-in which may not even have been +EV in the first place. He's not exactly a financial/math wizzard. My guess is he shrugged off the initial financial losses which should have been a factor in determining Scotty's share just because he won the thing in the end lol. So yeah, this story kind of illustrates how he can be (kind of) a "good guy" which sents him broke which leads to a whole torrent of lies and shady stuff.

Go back 25 years or so when the rake was way less and players were way worse 500 bucks for 1/3rd of scotty's action probably was +ev.

Also, since 3 different people put up $1000 total for Scotty to play a satellite and win a seat and then play the main, I wonder how much Scotty got of himself. My guess is probably like 30%.

In his book, he talks about hitting his big score in Aruba, then leaving money with a friend while he was locked up. I assume he just called his friend and told him what to bet.
I remember Shawn Sheikhan was starting to get big because of his feud with Matusow. Then I read he was charged with some kind of sex offense and he pretty much disappeared from the poker radar, at least on tv. I don't remember all the details but I remember it was pretty sick what this man was accused of.

He got the only interview with Postle, which would have been incredibly useful to the defense, had that idiotic lawsuit gone forward.
Mike let Postle just rant for 2 hours, and appeared sympathetic, so it kept going.
He played it perfectly, and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't understand the situation well.
Hi Todd. Bringing up an old post because at the time you made this comment I wasn't familiar with who you were or how involved in the case you became. I am curious to know how much you think Matusow knew what he was doing in that interview? Especially considering after it was done he was on speaking to Joey and still pretty much defending him and seemed to be in Postles corner which he didn't have to do once the interview was done.
I have recently listened to a lot of PFA podcasts and think they are excellent. I have gone through the archives and have found various episodes where you discuss the Postle situation. However the ones I've found are all about the court case and him being served notice, interview with Joey etc. I assume that when the story was breaking you would have covered the actual hands and details of what was happening on the streams. Are those ones still out there or have you had to take them down? Could be that I'm just being blind but haven't seen anything around second half of 2019 when I think it went down and would really like to listen to your coverage of that if possible!
