i honestly cannot see which worse hands are calling river after the shove
05-18-2018 , 05:40 PM
Not like I'm some NLH expert, but I feel like if you start off using your hand as a 4bet bluff and then find yourself wanting to valueshove the river with one pair, something went wrong.

Last edited by CoronalDischarge; 05-18-2018 at 05:45 PM. Reason: Corollary I guess is that OOP should donkshove that riv

Not the worst play if u want to be bluffing that riv, to value shove TPGK on a board where villain can't have many nuts that 3b- calls 4b and smashes that board, rarely have 33, 55,66 etc bc they arent 3bs
05-19-2018 , 02:56 AM
that's a super standard shove to me. Kane has JJ-KK so often and Koon needs to bluff this river a lot to make those hands fold.

and Kane can't have many nuts hands and rarely calls that big of a bet on the turn with AK and 1010 is really hard to have.

Koons whole plan on the turn was to jam any river except maybe a Q

All of this is explained quite well by Doug in the video five posts above this one.

Q is a better valueshove w AQ then an A river.

Shoving river there is so ******ed. Kane's range is pretty much TT-AA. No way he calls with JJ-KK enough for the shove to be profitable.
