This guy could be the biggest winner of online poker by playing draw games ONLY, instead of battling the top of the top of PLO.

Five years ago, who would have thought that isildur1 would beat anyone at mixed games but get crushed at HU big bet games, lol

What;s the point of gambling though if your never gonna leave a winner ever? He's been up a million several times in his career. All those times he lost it. I don't get it. Even the biggest action junkies have to book a win at some point. It's crazy. No disrepesct either Viktor is an amazing player but at some point you gotta cash in if you want money to live ya know. I'm gonna assume he wins a million then backer takes their cut and then viktor uses left over winnings to keep gambling. IDk maybe viktor pockets like 50k or something so he can eat.

LolNVG, the only place where a guy living off noodles in his mums basement could show concern about the quality of life a man throwing about millions of dollars has

meh i see their point, it's kind of interesting to think about it. It's likely he has a nice place/doesn't have to worry about money much, but he also seems to end up having to grind lower for a bit when he busts these rolls he runs up. It'd be kinda cool to know what goes through his head. Does he have a good amt of money to live off and just yolo's up small nosebleed bankrolls from small amts, does he have some sort of staking deal (would seem unlikely at times due to the sickos he ends up playing hu), does the ridiculous swings he puts himself through bother him at all, etc. He's definitely one of the most confusing players out there in terms of how well he's actually doing overall. Whereas a guy like Sauce/Ben Tollerene you know are super well off and clearly smart about their finances.

I don't get it. Why is it that when I check HSDB Isildur is only down ~300k since yesterday and up ~500k this week? Thought he dropped a milly yesterday?

Despite his loss yesterday, across both PS and FTP, blom is up ~$340k in the last couple of weeks (according to hsdb)

Isildurr makes Stu Ungar look like a guy that was great at game selection.

Too bad he does not have anyone in his life to give him a shake.
05-07-2015 , 08:20 AM
I hate posting this but it is painfully obvious the guy has major gambling demons that need addressing immediately.

No sponsor will touch him, training videos are out of the question,so his potential future earnings from poker are only at the tables.

The euro sites are dead and have removed most high stakes games that used to be insane action so there goes another avenue.

Vicktor must realise he will need money in the future even to sustain a modest living and is constantly throwing away the opportunity to live a stress free life.

You guys clearly never played poker for money that matters, if u write down such idiocy

Just cause he loses x at the table doesnt mean he cant have a seperate comfortable liferoll.
Just cause you treat the game such that you should never lose big, he doesnt have to agree.
People give him action and are willing to gamble cause hegives action.
Those swings happen w that style at those stakes, no need to act like u know the guy and put him in a straightjacket just cause he battles

Yes you would **** your pants if u won a million bucks and never play again
He considers himself a favorite so he grinds it up. Or down

Well said. It has become pretty clear that isildur has a fierce compulsive gambling addiction. Only the unique thing is, that he is an extremely talented and unique card player.
He needs a money manager or should consider just playing mtts for a while
05-07-2015 , 09:31 AM
I just think that, for Isidur, winning means the other guy quits you. And until that happens, he just keeps playing.

That isn't that bad considering he lost 6 million or whatever in that one session vs. Stinger.
