Maurice Hawkins still owes his backer - Page 4 - Poker News

We would be interested in purchasing any debt at reasonable rates, or on a collection contingency commission. We have been doing "unconventional" debt collection for over 45 years.

Everything we do is "legal", but it's maximum pressure collections, we have over a 95 percent collection rate. In some rare and unfortunate circumstances; the debtors have passed away, in unrelated accidents of course, and we still were able to collect from their estate in probate court. This seems like a really good fit and we would like to discuss it further over dinner at an Italian restaurant.

anytime there is money involved there is risk. There is no such thing as a sure thing. There is a reason Maurice didn't go to Citibank and ask for a loan. They won't loan him money because he a bad risk, which is the same reason no one else should loan him money. Easy game. Randy Garcia took the risk and lost, boo hoo.

Maurice was at the table next to me the entire first day of the $1k PLO just hamming it up and laughing his ass off without a care in the world. Unfortunately I don't think that $14k finish is going to cover his debts.

Hawkins is very good at exploitative weak and bad players. That’s why he cleans up at the circuit ring level but when he goes to a higher level he usually doesn’t do as well. His game is more old school exploitative/intimidating than it is strategic. That stuff doesn’t work as much vs stronger players.

Ya that's me. I did the Marc Klang collection and multiple others. Collected a few hundred thousand over the years for various people. Yes its non violent, and yes I'd definitely help Randy,.. .but I always get instant banned cause I guess some mods on here would rather see people get ripped off and not get paid back.

Anyways, ya that's what I do but like I said, I'll just get banned again

I can guarantee that Maurice Hawkins will owe his backer this time next year, the year after, and every year for eternity. He could win the main event the next 10 years in a row and still owe his backer. Guys like this don't believe they owe anyone anything.
