Of course. Nothing like degen scammers Eli and Matusow to play a big cash game together and all the top pro enablers don't care in the slightest and still give them money. But yes it's very noble of Mr. Matusow to express his outrage about someone else's transgressions. I hope soon Chino and Mizrachi will appear together and detail how Chino used Mizrachi's name to dupe lots of players out of money. Oh and how Mizrachi didn't give 2 shits. And kept supporting Mr. Rheem and giving him lots of credibility which allowed Chino to cheat player after player. Yes its very important that these scammers get outed lololol yawn.

Mike has had two public events in the last 10 years in which he reneged/paid pennies on the dollar over 7 figure debts.

I think it is safe to say more events like this exist that aren't public yet that involve mike and gambling debts. (Negreanu has hinted at it several times with Matusow)

Do you think it is ok to not pay debts over 1 million like the people ECB listed that have chosen not to (Elezra, Rheem, Matusow, Lindgren, etc?)

I agree with ECB, and perhaps have a stronger feeling about such scumbags.

So my TLDR is something like:

Shady scammer scams previous scammer out of poker winnings. Side scam involving shares in company. One shareholder previously sponsored pro for scamsite UB also scammed. Other previous scammer breaks friendship as result of scam.

No legal action yet, so scammer is expected to scam again in situation suitable for scamming, and plans to dump more winnings on other scam sites.

As for Matusow, yeah I wouldn't be making prop bets with him. It doesn't mean he's not qualified to call out other cheaters.

He's "honest" in the sense of him not scamming people? The main reason for the latter is that he probably doesn't ever plan on not paying back debt. Doesn't change the fact that he apparently has been unable to (fully) pay people on various occasions in the past.

obviously the Ball character is a gambling addict that was trying to recoup his losses through scamming. Hopefully he gets some help. Phil Nagy (allegedly) was main backer for his media venture and he decided to play him HS when Phil was drunk and took him for over a 1/4 milly...good idea to skin your business partners for real money....also he decided playing Jason Koon and Nick Petrangelo 3-handed was a good idea.

Also would be interesting to hear what shadiness Mike was involved in early in the game that led to his getting banned from the game the first time?

I probably will be banned here but I think Mason is wrong for defending Matusow. He ran off on numerous debts when Full tilt collapsed. Freerolled Ted Forrest basically. A nice guy but far from a guy who has always honored his debts.

This thread illustrates the part of the problem here. Scammers and theives get away with this stuff because the tendency is to keep these things secret. Mostly it is in the hope of making some recovery. Then when someone does expose the scam, we spend all our time attacking that person because their hands are not clean. Matusow’s past sins do not minimize the current scammer.
