He was definitely acting like a bloke who got rich quick... he also said when he lost a pot tot he wolf that ‘I’m rich, this is small money’ so I do think there is some truth to the BTC thing.
Keep in mind that this guy turned up about two years ago and started playing in the biggest cash games around.
Another funny moment was when he said he only had a small bet on the NBA game which was 150k haha

Matt and Leon have settled out of court and both are on good terms. Leon invited Matt to canada so they could clear the air and reach an agreement which they did. People have disagreements all the time I am just glad they have now come to a compromise. Everyone involved in the cash could afford the stakes played and no one is going to be destitute because of it.
Day 3 pt 2 was all pure gold. 4 handed 1k/2k/4k/8k. It was interesting hearing Leon and Rob talk about how this is the biggest plo game in the world besides the one they played in Russia where "every pot Leon was in was for at least a mill". Id be interested in hearing more about that. Also extremely funny for there to be millions on the table and then hear Rob ask someone for $20 so he can order a cappuccino

Cant comment on his play but I went to high school with him and played grade cricket against him, can confirm hes a solid No.3 batsman and would recommend as a ring in
People who make posts like this around here (have seen many in the same vein) are basically outing themselves as not being a remotely serious poker player.

at some point on day 2 the commentator said that they were using the casinos tournament chips. so the chips had no value.
the players were talking at that time about "squaring up"
I believe this to be true since Matt kept getting $200k without paper work and seemed like the manager just had $25ks within arms reach
If he was worth 600M+ why would he be so tilted at losing a couple mill in a super high stakes plo game that has tons of variance? And when leon played him and lost a few mill why would he have had bobby baldwin backing him in the game?
Because tilt? I get annoyed losing $500, which isnt a fraction of a percent of my net worth. Losing $5000 I’m ****ing steamed - and thats in games where +\- 5000 is common. Tilt is inherently impractical.

Let´s just assume it was true. Matt Kirk would be among the biggest individual holders of Bitcoins except maybe from the Winklevoss brothers, and strangely we have never heard of him in this context?
If he did actually hold >$200m worth of Bitcoin, wouldn´t he have liquidated most of it by now?
This just sounds like a standard cover-up story most whales come up with to save face. "So what if I´m down $3m, I do hold $200 worth of Bitcoin". Remember Cyril Mouly, the big business man who turned out to be a scam artist? Just look at the way Kirk looked when he was down $2m+. He also turned down a deal with Leon because a third party seems to have been involved, according to Rob Yong. I would be amazed if his net worth was actually positive. He was just your standard run of the mill whale once he was stuck a bit, constantly whining about hitting nothing with garbage hands or getting "coolered" whenever he hit a little bit with garbage hands.

I'm probably never going to forget that sequence of events. I never expect to live witness anything more degenerate gambler in my life. I'm sure if Leon had just left Matt Kirk with the $380k Matt would've moved down to $10/$20 PLO or whatever the next biggest game on the main floor was and found a way to lose the whole stack anyways before going to sleep.

You have definetly proven that he has negative net worth that was originally picked off of trees and is playing high stakes with no money as a ruse.
NVG is kinda behind the curve on this one. Pretty well known in high stakes circles that he got in on ETH pre-ICO and that's where all his money comes from. He was kinda broke before that. Not to say he isn't a nice guy or anything.
