I have a new hero. A man after my own heart.

Whenever I go to Las Vegas, I treat myself to a daily massage. Sometimes it a late night one, to prepare for a restful night. Sometimes it's an early morning one to prepare for a long day.

From Pokernews' coverage of event #8:

Greg "FBT" Mueller began the event today like everyone else, with 20,000 chips and a table full of fellow professionals. Since the first minute, Mueller has been found with the same massage therapist working out the aches and pains in his muscles. It's been over six hours now and we're all starting to feel for the beautiful woman's poor hands.

Mueller has been known to get massages for entire tournaments at times, from the same massage therapist every tournament. Superstition it may be, but as he continues to build a stack, why make a change?

usually masseusts(sp?) charge a dollar a minute at the table. So thats only 360 bucks. I'm sure he paid somewhere between 500-1000 though.

The last thing you want to see is a happy ending at the table.

It is bad enough when some guy, with alpaca DNA, decides to go topless for his at-the-table massage.

I'm not american but I sure it's not spelled with 't'. It's masseuse I think.

BTW here in FL at the Hard Rock it's $2 but masseuses are HOT as in hotter than waitresses .

Pokernews reported yesterday about a masseuse telling Jerry Yang it was $2/min.

I gotta think there's a quantity discount at some point, esp if it's the same person every time.

You gotta figure if he makes a couple of final tables, she's pretty much set for the year.

It was $2 per minute at the WSOP last year (I assume it's the same this year).

$120/hour times 12 hrs = $1440/day (plus tip)

Yes, last year rubdowns were $2 not $1 per minute if I remember correctly as well. And Ivey was getting the same type of treatment in 07. Walked around the room one day and spotted Ivey 4 different times over the span of 4-5 hours and he had the same masseuse working on him as well over the entire period. Not a bad investment if you have the funds.
