QuadJacks made some significant changes in 2012; poker coverage was significantly reduced and it now focuses a lot more on sports betting/drafting (take a look at the recently redesigned http://quadjacks.com/).

Marco isn't going anywhere and I hope his next project, whatever it turns out to be, will be the perfect platform for him. Watch his twitter account, where his increased industry-focused poker tweets over the last few days are hinting at his new focus and direction.

I admit I haven't been there in awhile , but they did have some good poker shows. Maybe they jumped the shark with sports betting and other non poker things. but I think 10 years from now we may see they were ahead of there time in a lot of things they did , like live streaming big sundays game or scoops. marco grew a beard for ftp players till we got paid or settled . I think usa players not be able to play online hurt them. I think marcos a good guy I wish him all the best. . .maybe worst part is it be will hard to find best place to get weed with him gone. lmao jk DO YOU MIND IF I CALL YOU MR. VALERIO OR DO YOU PREFER MARCO

Quadjacks is still around? They were a good idea for a few weeks after Black Friday. Didn't they Become a pay site?

+1 more fan of Marco's. All of my experiences with him have been great. I hope we get content from him somewhere for years to come, as he is one of our (poker's) best.

+1

I have fond memories of the old QuadJacks brand, but it does seem to have shifted distinctly since the 2012 WSOP. I personally don't care at all about sports or horse betting, and I look forward to hearing Marco in a platform that is perhaps more focused back on poker.

Sure, I didn't mean to imply at all that QJ had jumped the shark; just that it seemed they were actively diversifying beyond poker.

Like many others in the thread, I had no concept of what QJ did aside from Marco's on-air work. I'm sure he'll do memorable things no matter where he goes.

Good luck Marco!

This is good news. I stopped listening to QJ after SS left and they got into sports betting. I hope Marco gets into something where he has complete autonomy and creative control...I'm sure it will be good whatever he does.

While I thought he really sucked and destroyed interviews in the beginning, I think he really came into his own over the last year or so, finding a good balance between asking interesting/tough questions, being prepared and giving time for complete answers.

Have to respect someone who clearly works on bettering himself professionally, I think he has what it takes to start his own thing and be successful at it. GL

Funny guy. Enjoyed his interviews and his straight, no spin, talk.

Definitely a plus having him in poker media. Hope he shows up somewhere else in a similar capacity.

Marco has a legit and totally undervalued talent for radio. It's really hard, and he does it fantastically well.

He could talk about any subject, or interview any person, and it would be interesting.

Even tho some of the stuff he has done with poker has been awkward his style is very much his own and and he has a sick radio voice ldo. I don't think he will have a problem finding another gig. Thanxx Marco and gl.

Count me among those who thought the same, so seeing the thread title "Marco Valerio Leaves Quad Jacks" might as well have been "Adam Carolla Leaves ACE Broadcasting" in my head.

The good news, per his Twitter replies to such inquiries, is that he intends to remain in poker media in some form. So for the mourning fans in this thread, his departure might be good news in the long run. Based on what I read in that Facebook post, wherever he lands should be a place where he will continue to his work in a more unfettered and unshackled manner.

As one of the few still over at PokerRoad, I'm holding a glimmer of hope that he can wrangle that community from Joe Sebok. Maybe he can trade it straight-up for a Bucher Vaslin grape press.

There is a reason some people are on the radio. Marco may fidget when you see him on the screen but he has a good voice and is a good interviewer. He's respectful but also tries to get the story people want to hear.

Just the endless podcast after Black Friday and the quality of guest he got on that show day after day was pretty impressive. Most people can't even put together a good 1 hour show let alone a 24/7 extravaganza. Sure it had some lulls but over all it kept it's momentum.

This actually makes me feel kinda bad for Doug Lee. It seems like he's so unintelligent and lacking in self-awareness. He struggled so much articulating his thoughts in that interview, and his feeble attempts to defend himself against 2p2 were just sad.

That aside, I've criticized Marco in the past, but I think he's great overall and is/was def great for poker.

How can anyone not like Marco?

Hopefully he's settled into his new gig in time for the 2013 WSOP.
