Looks like he is playing with the 57k he had left yesterday. I expect him to get more founds if/when he lose what he got now.

Why did Durrrr duck the chance of avenging himself, restoring his reputation, defeating his greatest foe?

There's definitely more to it than he "had to" have a massage, FFS!
The % he had of Galfond probably isn't that much less than the % he had of himself. So he's still making money.

the "new" isildur today is so far folding to literally >50% of postflop's 3bets in plo

seriously, it's unbelievable how much this guy's emotions affect his play. You would think that having played so many hands, a player would have developed a reasonable tolerance to tilt. Mid-stakes grinders already have that. But this guy has the emotional maturity of an infant. As long as he can't control his emotions, he will keep losing everything sooner or later, no matter how talented he might be.

lol it has absolutely nothing to do with bankroll. As soon as he lost those 2 pots, now he's calling every 3bet.

Near the end of last nights session, Isil was on severe, severe, monkey-tilt.

Check this hand for a prime example.

I like the guy, but this is just pure spewage.

Viewing the hand again, it appears he did it cos he had the bare Ace of clubs in his hand, I still dont like the play at all.

He had the Ac, nut flush blocker.... a reasonable bluff, but Galfond had the second nuts, and knows he's capable of this type of bluff.

It's not that bad really. Paired board and flush hits. Only a few hands are going to really be able to call such a river bet. The fact Phil had a J made Isildur holding JJ less likely. It would be interesting to see what would happen if Phil didn't have the J and whether he'd be able to make the call with second nut flush.

It seemed that galfond knew exactly the correct way to play against Isils manic style. And he exploited it perfectly.
It wasnt hard to see that galfond had a considerable edge over him.
Galfond did run well, but he also outclassed him.
As opposed to hastings who just ran well against Isildur, Galfond knew exactly how to exploit Isildurs style and use it against him.

yap. ipoker HS regs call him "tiltboy" since he tilts so much. and he becomes a huge spewmonkey when tilting. The thing with huplo variance though is that this behavior is sometimes positively reinforced. I've seen him maybe a month or so ago beat the **** out of youvegotnoheart on ipoker playing 100/200 or 200/400 after being well behind and starting to tilt bigtime.

It would be interesting to see how this whole battle would turn out if Isildur run ok/good and had no reason to tilt.

Re: **** March High Stakes Thread ****

I tried to play 6 PLO tables heads up today, just to see what it is like.
And it is damn difficult, I was playin low stakes just to try it.
6 tables is hard enough at ring games, but heads up it is very very hard.
Respect to these guys who can do it at 500/1000!
You need to be very quick in the brain at all times playing 6 tables heads up.
It is very intense and you gotta be 'in the zone'.
Hard to do for 6 or 8 hours straight.
