LMAO -- this needs more love.

Anyway, I'm glad to see OMGClayAiken get his head in the game and play the nosebleed action vs. Isildur1. He's a very smart thinking player, it's nice to see that this pays off in the end.

Re: **** March High Stakes Thread ****

dam sick sick action....went to bed a little early. Phil I think is pretty underrated and I thought once he got in a bunch of hand with Isil he would be able to adjust very well. He is the range balancing master. Then again they were playing 500/1000 where most of the money swung

kinda grunched a little but has anyone posted Isil's EV graph in the 500/1000 portion

DjAdi dont get any action because he is a lowlife hit`n runner, when you play DjAdi 1 of 2 things happen:

1. He wins a big pot and run
2. He lose a big pot and run

The hs regs would rather flip 1 BI than play DjAdi imo.

someone backed galfond. most of his money accordingly is tied up in investments. i think he was offered a share to play and took it.

Re: **** March High Stakes Thread ****

So what's the real reason Durrrr quit playing Isildur1 when he was $1m ahead?

So what if he had a massage booked, the potential to win another $1.5m is obviously worth more than that.

Durrrr chose to stop playing an opponent he knew was on screaming monkey tilt and who was asking to play higher, just so he could keep an appointment of no consequence which he could easily reschedule.

Does he not like money?

Or was he scared Isildur1 might beat him at higher stakes? Maybe he just wanted to bank the win, even though he knew he was quitting an opponent at exactly the wrong time, and would be letting his rival nosebleed players get the cream.

durrrr, do you know how close galfond was quitting when he was $580k down? Whould he have left if he lost this pot? If he would, what a SICK $2.3M 35% river.

Yaksha didnt notice the straightdraw either, galfond had a lot of outs, but as said, 35% on turn.

He wasn't reloading at one point and was playing on 5 tables. But Galfond got on another table without having to split, meaning he got a transfer and would've gotten few more. So no, that river wasn't why this happened. He was just a better player and isildur1 plays like **** 6 tabling against a great player after playing for 20 hrs straight

It was the same thing that happened when Townsend and Cole tired him out and Hastings closed him out.

Not the same thing, running 20 buyins above is not what Phil did, i even think he ran à bit worse than isi.

Must have been soul crushing for Isi to lose with his top set of aces like 5 times, plus aces cracked in hand above plus AAxx < KKxx all in pre. Obviously this isn't much different from other bad beats but I think that psychologically losing with your strongest hands over and over must be very tough.

My post wasnt about Isildurs bad luck in that one hand, it was if that hand was worth $2.3M. Luck or not, Isildur didnt stand a chance from this point, it was doomed the second they started 5/1k.

We dont know that, and thats why I asked durrrr who posted earlier and and might know for sure. Even with money behind, I think he had a stoploss at some point.

Re: **** March High Stakes Thread ****

I know this is a sketchy theory, but do you think Isildurs big losses would have been different if the timezone was 6-8 hours behind and not in front? Like vs galfond, it was 9:30AM in sweden when he left, and probably 2:30AM for galfond. Isildur had been awake 6-8 hours longer. It might have some effect. He often had looong sessions at the time the US HS players usually log on. I dont remember what hours the Hasting crush went on?

Poker players don't live regular hours, so it's pretty trivial.

isildur's huge losses have to do with his greed man. he doesnt want 1 million, he doesnt want 10 million he doesnt even want 100 million. he wants every single chip on ft poker. i dont think most understand this concept. isildur is going to get rich or lose it all trying.

isil seems to be online 24hours a day. i'm guessing he knew he'd still be on when he got back.
