When they joined 500/1000, Isildur was tilted at all, he was on a huge rush where he had swung back to even or a little up/down (I believe $100000 either way) from being monstrously down at the beginning of the 300/600 match.
Granted, he would have been tired (well we dont know his physiology, maybe he wasn't tired!) considering the volume he put in in that session inc. all opponents.
I think he was tilting at 3/6 until he got it back, and then again only began to tilt once he started getting in the hole. Don't forget at the start of the 5/1 session he was absolutely devastating the stacks of Jman.
I understand that he was tilted directly after his loss to Durrrr, but after apprx an hour or so of playing Zee, his A game was defo back.
Anyway hope you get some answers/debate in regard to the rest of your post.
You might have a point, but I still believe it was tilt that got him to ask for $500/$1000, he was somewhat controlled during the $300/$600 battle, but he then lost the $500k he was up in very short time, that $320k pot was the start of it, looking closer galfond was ahead, but i dont think Isildur realized that playing 6 tables, and he lost $400k more next few minutes, also the river had to be had smack in the face after a very nice turn. He was ready to gambol and galfond probably got more focused playing even higher stakes and when galfond went on a rush (according to himself) he just went on super-spew-tilt and only stoploss could decide how much he would lose.
