he is on like an eighteen buy in downswing in HU PLO against really good players with a very small win/lose rate. lot of money but not a big deal
That would be so true if a big part of his losses didn't come from making insanely bad calls in big pots at the same moment he lost a big pot somewhere else.
I had a feeling this was going to happen. Phil is just way too good at PLO and Isildur still has some really basic leaks when it comes to PLO (look at his 3betting range, for example). Don't want to get too stratty in NVG, but he basically 3bets too many hands that have steep equity distributions, i.e. they hit a small percentage of flops BIG and the rest they have an overpair or even worse, something like 77 or 88xx that he can't continue with profitably. But he doesn't give a ****. He cbets near 100% and when Phil calls in position with hands that play better in 3bet pots than the majority of isildur's 3betting range, well you get what we have seen for the last few hours. I'm actually very surprised that someone like CTS didn't already take advantage of this. Maybe he just runs bad.
